I only entered the vaping world 3 months ago and I guess you could say I jumped in with both feet.

When I walked into my first B&M I knew nothing about e-cigs and just went in to see what it was all about. Although I had no plans of buying anything, I walked out with my first kit. A week later I bought a second kit (which I have now given away and helped another kick the habit). The same as the first to have as back up since the first worked so well and I was terrified of something not working. A few weeks later I decided I wanted something to give me a better "hit" and purchased a MVP2 and a few protank2's. Now for Christmas I treated myself to a Provari and cartotank. I feel like I have made good choices for me. YMMV

I gave you my history so you know what I have and can better assist me in my next quest. I am loving DIY and I need an easier way to test my samples. I don't want something complicated, I really need simple. I do not rebuild coils but who knows that may come in time. I think I have enough on my plate at the moment with DIY. If you have any suggestions for me, could you please provide a link as well? Very much appreciated any help you can offer!

Ok, I have been reading about these. I think for someone that has never dripped before, one with a bridge might be better? As I stated in my OP I do not want rebuildable. I will do more looking around and see what I find. Thanks for a place to start!

Gotcha...altho building coils are child's play compared to diy and the only way to truly experience the actual taste of your juice. The taste of juice through a good RBA/RDA W/ a cotton wick is 1000 times better than that of an entry level (not saying that's what you're using) atomizer.

I am not using anything at the moment. I have NEVER dripped anything before. I have never built any coil before. I just got my first cartotank! I am new to all of this and think I have enough to keep me more than busy for awhile. Rebuilding is not out of the question in the future but for now it is. I am concentrating my efforts in DIY for now.

I have been looking and reading blogs on dripping. I have also looked at suppliers and most only carry bridgeless atomizers. This kind of scares me a bit for the first time. Anyone know of a place that sells a bridged atomizer and is there reasons why most don't carry them?

I have 10-15 shorty cartomizers for testing flavors. A shorty holds about 10 drops. When I'm done with one I drop it in a tiny cup of alcohol, where it sits for a day or two. Rinse with hot water, blow air through to remove most of the water, let it dry overnight (or an hour in an oven preheated to 'warm' and turned off), and it's good to go again. At any given time I have some ready to go, some soaking, some sitting to dry. I've been using the same "set" for 5 months, and they're all still good-as-new and snow-white after hundreds of uses.

I don't have to rebuild (no risk of me doing it wrong and blowing myself up ;-) and it's cheap and convenient for me. Once those shorty cartos have been cleaned like this a time or two, they suck up liquid instantly, without having to sit around waiting for it to soak in.

Google for Smoktech shorty cartomizer and you'll find sellers.

Thanks so much for this! This is more of what I'd like to start with. I'm not real sure about this dripping thing and may check into it more at a later date. This will help me a lot with testing flavors!

Everything you wanted to know about dripping, but didn't know what to ask.

I've used I06's, with a DCA or I06 drip tip, and HH.357 long barrels, with a standard 901/510 drip tip, and hold them both in high regard still even though I build my own on Fatty's and an Immortalizer. (I almost always have an I06 in my pocket and when I don't I have an HH.357 there instead.)

You don't have to get into rebuilding to get excellent flavor, but you do need a good dripping atty. I06 or the HH.357 are durable with excellent flavor transfer. The have different draws, break in procedures, and appearance, but I like them.

If your not ready for RDA's A regular bridged 510 atomizer will also work just Fine. I used to use one before getting my RDA. Just roll up a small peice of cotton stick it in there drop some juice on it put the tip back on and vape. When your done discard the cotton rince, dry burn and your ready to go again.

I got my first 5 in the mail today and love them. To ME this is perfect and I will be ordering more so I always have them available. Thanks for this tip!

I recently tried theInnokin Tidy 10 Clearomizer.

Works well enough I'm going to order about a dozen more.
I use a hand held steamer to rinse it out between flavors and haven't detected any residual effect.

The only problem I have with drippers, is my juice will taste great in there and MEH in a clearo. I have several flavors I've made, that I can only use when dripping because the flavor is so muted in anything else. A real PITA there. Haven't found how to make them taste good in a clearo or tank yet, still working on it. I think it needs more flavor if you want to taste it in anything but a dripper. So that's what I'm working on. :)

I've found the same thing this is why I switch my test devices around using both a 510 bridged or bridgeless 510 attie or a dripper as the mix requires. I've recently switch from clearos to a kayfun RBA which also delivers a truer flavor. Now I just use the T3 clearos when on the go. I find the drippers better show the true flavor for RBA's and atty's packed with cotton are better for cartos's and clearo users.

I have the same issue with flavors changing with devices, and not in a good way either. There's been times when I thought I had perfected a recipe while using a cartomizer only to have it taste awful in a tank or other things. Its very disappointing when that happens and I still don't know why it does. Sorry to change the subject OP! Like most others I think the best devices for tasting are atomizers or the shorty cartos, I have to admit though I usually just place a small drop of a new juice mix on my finger tip to taste test it before I add the nicotine. That usually lets me know right away if I'm gonna like it or not and whether I can vape it right away or if it needs to be set aside for awhile :) Those tidy 10 clear's look pretty cool I wanna try those now too.
