I did get a reply from Senator Cruz. It wasn't positive, but at least I got "something". This was not from the latest communication to him. But it was recent.

Here is one from Senator Eltife.

Thank you for taking the time to contact me. Please be assured
that your comments and feedback on issues is not only appreciated but
critical in my efforts to represent you in Austin.

As your
Senator serving in the State Legislature, my priority is to provide you
with the best possible representation and constituent assistance. My
staff and I are prepared to help with issues concerning state
government. If you have a situation that needs immediate attention,
please call the nearest district office listed below.

Thank you again for your email and the privilege of representing you in the Texas Senate.

Sincerely,
Kevin P. Eltife

Now he said this, in this pitiful form letter. Then he voted FOR SB97. Now I just read today that he is not seeking reelection as Senator. So that opens it up for Rep. Simpson, or possibly Rep. Hughes. BOTH of these men voted AGAINST SB97 every time. I know more about Rep. Simpson, and I like his stand for freedom.
He has impressed me very much since he has taken office. I know very little about Rep. Hughes. Sen. Eltife was not going to get my vote next go round anyway. When he voted for SB97, as far as I am concerned, that ruined it for me.
