Good morning everybody and FranC, you're up early today! Isn't it great to get up while its still dark out knowing you don't have to gulp down some coffee and rush to get dressed and be out the door to go to work? LOL, you can even go back to bed if you want to! Sometimes I think that if I lived up in town that in the mornings I would stand out in my front yard with a cup of coffee and point at all my neighbors going to work and just laugh and laugh and laugh!
Probably get my ... shot.
Hey, thanks everyone for all the kind words, nice thoughts and prayers for our friend who passed away. I'll tell you, if you had known this gal there is no doubt in my mind that you would have loved her too. Sometimes I wonder if this is the right place to share this kind of information, but you guys are close friends of mine too and I know when something happens in my life that is important to me I can tell you about it and you'll understand why I'm doing it. Just as I do when you have to unload a little bit. But I love you for being here for me. Thank you.
Wow, I have so much I need to do. Lots of mowing to get after, the travel trailer needs to be washed, I had one of my 4 wheelers in the
shop and I need to go pick it up and take in another one, I really need to go fishing, just a ton of things to do. I suppose I need to make a list and prioritize all this ... okay, let's see, I'll start with going fishing ...
I know some of you live in big cities and you know those cities and know your way around and are used to the traffic and stuff and make it just fine. On the way home we went through Austin, Texas and I figured it was no sweat because it was late at night and pulling the trailer through there wouldn't be any problem and besides, going that way would let me avoid Fort Worth/Dallas completely.
What a freakin' mess!! Even late on a Sunday night there was a lot of traffic and that city just goes on and on and on. Actually, I guess its a lot of cities that have all grown into one big one. I know I'm just spoiled because back in my working days I drove in places like Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Riyadh and Jeddah, London and lots of others and never thought twice about it.
That driving adventure through Austin sure makes me appreciate living out in the country away from traffic and all the insanity. Whew!
We really had a great time on our little trip though. We got to see some fantastically beautiful places in Arizona and New Mexico and the dry air out that way was a joy. Honey girl got to do more of her rock hounding and exploring and it was a restful time for her. Everything on the trailer worked perfectly, and all in all it just couldn't have been a better trip.
Well, I guess you need to get out there and get into your little yellow Perogi's and get to work so you can find a decent parking place. Have a fun day at work and think about me out here fishing and mowing and really staying busy.
