Geesch!! I've missed everyone again!!

Well, tonight we did something different. Something we never do. We went to Pizza Hut and had a thin crust pizza and I had Italian Sausage on mine. It was absolutely delicious! The last time I ate at Pizza Hut, which was several years ago, I swore I would never do THAT again. But the Pizza Hut here in Willcox, AZ made a good pizza and I would never hesitate to come back to this one.

Tomorrow we're going to get the trailer hooked up to the truck and start breaking things down as much as we're able, in preparation for leaving Sunday morning and scooting over to Van Horn, Texas. Might spend a couple days there before we continue on.

Hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend.

Your post makes me chuckle, TT (which, naturally, is a usual thing, of course). About Pizza Hut, though....

Our Pizza Hut here in town is HORRIBLE!!! We refuse to EVER get anything from them. And, actually, most Pizza Huts we've been to is about the same way. However, the one where hubby's mom lives is one of the best of all pizza places we've ever ate at and we'll go there every chance we get.

So I know exactly what you are saying.

We decided to leave for camping tomorrow morning besides tonight. Just too exhausted from earning TT his Socialable Securities plus then needing to get everything around to go as well. It's a 3 day weekend...no need to rush anything.

Has mod been around today? Just wondered if he survived his birthday or is feeling too old and hungover to come out and play today. LOL

LOL, +1000 for some PHs being awesome and some being horrible. The one closest to me is HORRIBLE. The one in Clemson is fantastic.

TT, I am glad to know that you are waiting until Sunday to travel. It should be less traffic so less crazies on the road lol

Free, it is 1:30 am my time and I have to sleep :( I will try and make it down here from up top earlier tomorrow evening. I have been caught in PMs alot lately helping a few noobs with DIY.
I hope that you have a good night and I will ttyl

Night, Salem.

I forgot to share another one of my doozies.

Last weekend, we were in Lowe's shopping for stain and ended up with a cart full. I just piled stuff on top of my purse in the seat section of the cart and didn't think anything about it. As we were talking to a worker in an aisle filled with people, my daughter tries to get my attention. I keep shushing her 'til finally she hollers out frantically, "Mommy, something in the cart is smoking!"

It took only a moment for me to remember my last smoking purse then I took off running to the cart. "Smoke" was billowing, there was a nice scent of Apple Cinnamon in the air...AND ALL EYES WERE FOCUSED DIRECTLY ON ME as I dove into my purse in a fast attempt to get to the Infinity. I scorched my fingers while finding a sticky wetness all over everything in the purse.

Oh, TT, when will I ever learn?!?! As I hung my head to hide from everyone's scrutiny, all I could vision was you falling out of your chair due to laughing soo hard.

    My poor Free.

I wish I had the ability to just follow you every day and record all your exploits and then write them up in a book.

I know everyone on ECF would buy a copy and probably people who just enjoy good humor. So if I sold one million books at three dollars a copy ... that would be ... let's see ... 14 ... 67 ... divided by .... that would be a whole lot of money!

I am glad you warned me to fasten my seat belt before reading your post though! You saved me from what could have been a very serious fall to the floor! Writhing in pain while laughing hysterically! The people at the hospital here wouldn't have known what to think.

And Free, always pay attention to little kids when they're trying to tell you something about smoke coming from your purse or bra. Little kids seem to have the ability to realize that smoke coming from either of those places is not a normal situation!

    Have a fun camping weekend!

Here's a little bit of history if your interested ... just a reminder of what Memorial Day is all about.

    The Revolutionary War - 1775 to 1783
The small Continental army with the help of a rag-tag group of guerrilla fighters, which included Native American Indians and French forces, fought for 8 bloody years against the forces of His Majesty King George III of Great Britain, at that time probably the most powerful nation on earth, in order to win the freedom to govern themselves as they saw fit. The fledgling colonies lost nearly 5000 men in that conflict.

    The War of 1812 - 1812 to 1815
A bloody little sequel to the Revolutionary War, once again against His Majesty George III's forces. The U.S. lost over 2000 men in this conflict.

    The Mexican War - 1846 to 1848
This war was fought against neighbors to the south and their then masters, the kingdom of Spain. In two bloody years the U.S. lost over 13,000 men in battle.

The American Civil War (War Between the States) - 1861 to 1865
The Confederate States of America (southern secession states) and the Union (northern states) locked in deadly conflict for nearly five years over complicated legal and moral disagreements. The toll of this war was nearly 700,000 men. The bloodiest conflict in the history of America.

    The Spanish-American War - 1898
A little tiff against Spain once again. The U.S. lost over 2000 men.

    World War I - 1917 to 1918 (U.S. involvement)
The world's first truly global conflict. The U.S. entered this war to assist their allies, the United Kingdom and others, in securing the future of Europe. While the U.S. was only involved for the last year or so of the conflict, it suffered over 116,000 men lost.

    World War II - 1941 to 1945 (U.S. involvement)
The most catastrophic event in the history of mankind. This war was a defining moment in the entire history of the human race. The U.S. fought in numerous entirely different and geographically distant theaters of operation: Europe, the Far East, the Near East, Africa, the South Pacific, the North Atlantic, the northern Pacific, etc. With over 16 million men in service to the U.S. in this war, there were over 400,000 men lost.

    The Korean Conflict - 1950 to 1953
The U.S. and its allies attempt to prevent the communist North Korean forces, eventually aided by Red China, from conquering and subverting the peoples of the South Korea. This bloody, hard-fought "police action" cost the U.S. over 36,000 men lost.

The Vietnam Conflict - 1964 to 1973 (not counting technical assistance to the French prior to actually entering the conflict)
Another politically complicated conflict that initially involved the U.S. in an advisory role to their ally the French, who were attempting to maintain control of their colonies in Vietnam against the communist forces of North Vietnam. Eventually, the U.S. actually became involved in the conflict through treaty obligations with the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). This terribly bloody anti-insurgent conflict lasted 9 horrible years and cost the U.S. nearly 60,000 men and women.

    The Gulf War - 1990 to 1991
The U.S. and its allies forcefully and rapidly come to the aid of the country of Kuwait after it was invaded by the forces of Iraq under the leadership of Saddam Hussein. Following through on United Nations' mandates, the U.S. and its allies decimate the forces of Iraq and successfully liberate Kuwait. The U.S. lost 382 men in this conflict.

The Iraq War - 2003 to present
This conflict is so current right now, and with all the political complications and questions, suffice to say that so far the U.S. has lost over 2000 men in this war.

    Afghanistan
As of Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at least 1,851 members of the U.S. military had died in Afghanistan as a result of the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan in late 2001. This figure is of May 22nd.

Add up all those men and women who've died in these wars and conflicts over the last 231 years along with the covert and overt operations such as; Grenada, Panama, Mogadishu, and the Balkans you end up with a tally of nearly 1,348,000+ men and women who've given their lives to protect the freedoms and interests of United States of America.

    They need to be remembered.

They had three more little earthquakes around our place back home yesterday and last night, just after-shocks, nothing major.

Interestingly, a lot of people back there have been looking into earthquake insurance and the insurance companies won't sell to them if they have their house built on pier and beams (vs. a slab). Our house is pier and beam construction also and a two story house on top of that!

Have I mentioned that I don't care much for politicians and insurance companies?

LOL @ Free! I always pile stuff on my purse while shopping too BUT, my Buzz is in the car, not in my purse lol I don't usually vape while shopping so I leave it in the car :)

I hope that everyone has a great Saturday. It is hot here so I am doing some inside projects today. May hit my sisters pool tomorrow.

    Good Morning Everybody!

Boy salem, a swimming pool sounds real nice right now! That would be a nice way to spend a part of the day.

That Free is a mess isn't she? LOL, I'll never - as long as I live - forget Elphaba sticking her PV in her bra and the bra hitting the switch and her burning her left boobie. I laughed until I was nearly sick ... and that was a long time ago!

We're very slowly getting things put up and kinda getting ready to get on the road tomorrow. We never really have a destination ... we might stop at either Sierra Vista or Van Horn, Texas tomorrow ... or if we make real good time (which we usually don't) might go all the way to Alpine. We'll just have to see where we end up. I'm hoping for better WiFi though.

The nice thing about the way we travel is never rushing and never having to worry about a particular destination at a particular time. That sure makes it nice and a lot more fun. This has been an especially relaxed trip, but we've managed to see some things we wanted to see.

Anyhow ... I'll keep you informed of our progress or lack of it, whichever happens!

I hope everybody has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!! TT, thanks for the list of the reasons we celebrate and remember our fallen heroes. And thanks Silly Bear, jj2, and toto for the pic.s.
Free.... LOL at your smoking pocketbook  I've had a few experiences with mod buttons being pressed at inopportune times, too!
I'll see everybody when I can... I'm working all weekend, but will try to pop in as I get the chance.
