LOL, we left Arizona and entered New Mexico and DW started talking about all the nice rock hunting places and how much she had always enjoyed New Mexico and if we ever were able to live in New Mexico (like ... after winning the Lottery) this is where she woud like to live and on and on and I finally got the hint.

She wanted to stop in New Mexico.

The first town coming into New Mexico is Lordsburg and there's not a lot there and the second town is Deming and I saw a sign for what appeared to be a pretty nice RV Park, so without saying anything I wheeled in there. She said "ooohh, are we really going to stop here?" And I said "yep" and she went in and rented a slot for the trailer for a week.

Since leaving Willcox, AZ I hadn't even burned half a tank of diesel and that was with pulling the trailer!

But ... honey girl is very happy and you already know I like this part of the country so it will all be fine.

Its a beautiful RV Park, indoor swimming pool, trees and its almost empty. We have the run of the whole place and even the Internet seems to be good.

We got the trailer set up in no time and with no problems, had a nice lunch and now we're going exploring. LOL, but we sure didn't go very far!

That sounds great TT, A happy Mrs.TT is the best part too.
We had the camp ground we were at all to our self after last Sunday too that was nice.

My Father in law's well went out. We were over there and I looked out the window and saw water shooting 1/2 way across the yard. When we turned off the electric to the pump and fixed the broken pipe but it wouldn't turn back on. So 785 bucks later for a new pressure switch and a long time needed new tank and gauge and a few new pipes it still wouldn't come on. The well repair guy will replace the submerged pump tomorrow. (1800 buck more)
Today was spent cutting down the oak tree that had grown up over the well head so that the pump truck can get to it. Thake my word for it. chain saws are NOT Gummy friendly. and the boys are not to be trusted not to cut off a foot.

We are not GOING anywhere this weekend. After next weekend we'll have been down to the Carolina's 3 times in five weeks for weekend trips. My older sister who is fighting cancer Graduated from college the same weekend that my nephew did and a niece had a baby shower, all in Columbia. Then last weekend another of our (wife's) niece's got married in Charlotte area. Next weekend we are going to Charlotte for a grand daughters graduation from kindergarten.

SO happy weekend to all whether traveling or not.

Dang. And I was just getting ready to invite you to join us down here in New Mexico for some fun climbing up the sides of mountains to hunt for pretty rocks in 100 degree heat. The good news is the humidity is only about ten per cent and there's a huge blue sky with not a cloud in it.

C'mon down!

That's really a bummer about your father-in-laws well Gummy Bear. Not to mention all your hard work.

We have a well too and turn it off for extended periods of time when we're traveling. Its always something I wonder about when we get back home - is the pump going to come on or not.

I hope the pump man an find a less expensive way to get the pump running again.

Geez, Gummy :( You seem to have luck like ours. It seems as if it is not one thing, it is another.

TT, that was really nice of you to stop in NM for Mrs TT. I don't think that there are any rocks out there that would make me want to endure 100 degree weather to find them lol I am really pretty glad that I never took up that hobby :)

I bet that you will enjoy the area from the sounds of it though. Sounds very peaceful.

I need to go back to work. This long weekend is killing me.

Today:
Went to Wally World to get all the necessities for the day
Rebuilt carburator on lawn mower
Mowed lawn
Repaired hoses
Replaced quick connect fittings
Watered lawn
Filled week worth of cartos for wife
Bought copy of Hard Country. McGarrity autographed it to my 9 year old GD, Reality.
He has a GD named Flynn Raven.
We exchanged admiration of GD's names.
Visited daughter and GD. Brought ice cream.
Cleaned BBQ grill
Grilled steaks
Fed, watered, played with dogs

TT, Si Senor in Demming has pretty decent food at a reasonable price. K-Bob's isn't bad either.

    Hiya FranC!! Good morning.

I woke up with a stoopid cramp in my right leg so for once I'm up as early as you!

I think its all gone now though so I think I'll try for some more sleep.

I never realized how dark it was outside at this time of day. Well ... this time of night.

Wonder what people do in the dark like this?

Oh yeah. I remember now. They get up and go to work LOL, LOL, LOL!!!

Good Morning TT housemates!! I'm just coming in from a busy weekend at work. I am on call today, but am really hoping they won't be needing my assistance. It is a 'holiday' schedule, so no cases are supposed to be done except emergencies. Unfortunately at my hospital, if the surgeon says "I want to do it today" that constitutes an emergency.
I hope everybody has a day full of fun times and delicious cook-outs! I hope I have a day full of sleeping :)
