Hello ; )
DW and i went out and had an Italian Beef sandwhich from our favorite place Yum!
Salem i took advantage of coupon and bought 1000ml bottles of nic, vg, pg and a 53 cent thingy to make the free shipping.

Dies, did you get the combo with Italian sausage? Sweet or hot peppers? I have to live my Italian Beef life vicariously.

    Morning' y'all. :)

Hope the weather holds for you, TT, so everyone has a wonderful day at the lake and your fish-fry a huge success, tomorrow.

    Hi Everyone and thanks Pokey!

Tomorrow (Sunday) is supposed to be 80 degrees and sunny!! Sounds like it has all the makings of a perfect day for Mothers Day. I need to make sure all the cameras are charged and ready to document all the good fun and good food.

We're going to start packing today and getting things ready for the trip and will probably pull out on Tuesday. Got lots of fresh e-juice and cartos and batteries ... I can't think of anything else I need to pack. We called the park in Arizona where we left the travel trailer and their going to get it out and set it up for us. Isn't that nice?

Then we can get back to that 38' trailer and the pioneering mode of living ... well, as close as I want to be to it anyhow. But it should be a fun trip and I know two things ... when we get back it will be hot and second, that I'll have a hell of a lot of mowing to do - again. Grandson is going to take care of the yard mowing (supposedly - we'll see). He's the one we gave the bass boat to and this is part of the deal for him to pay for it by doing some work for us.

Anyhow, I have a bunch of little things I need to get done today to get ready to go. No big jobs, just a lot of little ones. So, I guess I'd better get after it.

Hope everyone has a nice Saturday.

    TT

Naw just the beef sandwhich no combo , go figure i like italian sausage with bell peppers as is and beef sandwhich with hot pepper and no sausage.
As a kid many years ago Dad new 2 Italian cousins that owned a beef joint right across from the then huge factory called western electric and talked to them , next thing i knew i was working there as a young teen. They taught me how to prepare the beef and cook it then we would put the pans in walk in cooler and later sliced it.
During summer break and at lunch hour we were super busy as many from the factory would come there with lines around the corner.
Tony from 2 for 1 tavern next store used to come on sat nights and me and co-worker would treat him and then we took turns going to his joint only to come back happy to work the counter.
Things have changed a lot since them days we were only 15 at the time and was nice as i could walk to work as i did not yet have a drivers license.
If you never had a polish sausage deep fried in a french fryer you have to try it just not sure any joint would prepare that for you nowadays.
The place i eat the beef sandwiches reminds me of the times when i was young cause fewer joint actually make it in there establishments in a similar fashion it seems along with trimming it properly but this place brings back fond memories and they even play the same Italian songs over the joints speakers !

TT sounds like your gonna have a fantastic time !

TT, You could have given me the bass boat and I would have mowed the yard and pastures for you :)

It sounds like you have a fun day planned for tomorrow. I am meeting my son mid state on Monday and we will have lunch together. Maybe I will have him stop and pick up a couple of Gyros on the way to meet me lol

Tomorrow we are grilling out at my sisters house. We planned a day in the pool but it is downright chilly here! Been in the 50s the past few nights so I feel sure it will be too cool but that's okay. I am sure that we will have more than enough 90 plus days this summer to enjoy the pool.

I hope that everyone has a great Saturday.

I kinda sorta remember a Western Electric factory. Where exactly was it? Also, I have had deep-fried Kielbasa. Delicious!
