Marshmallow fluff have not had that stuff with Peanut butter in years kinda stick to your ribs stuff. lol
Yeah they make darn good beef sandwhiches here in Illinois is one knows where to go to get it as some places get the sytuff by bulk in tubs and warm it up - oh yuck
But you get one from a joint that trims ,cooks it and then slices it there self old style and its great.
Sausage here is plentiful and them hots dogs and maxwell street style polish sausage with grilled onions is well gut busting pleasure.
Pizza well personally we blow New York away with it thin and the thick crust is just fantastic.
The thin crust here is thin and crispy not at all like that stuff in NY that they fold in half like a taco !
The deep dish also a favorite of mine you eat with a fork and knife and just 10 minute drive from my house. Oh Yum !
Gyro's is but 10 minutes away as well at a little joint called Mickey's owned and operated by a greek family and you can get feta cheese on it and Baklava for dessert there. Yum !
KG - Western Electric tall steeple was located on corner of Cicero Ave and Cermak Rd.
Here in this picture bottom right side you look down the building structure you can see a break with grass across that street 1 of the parking lots and our house was 4th house off that corner i went streaking thru that lot several times as the factory let out back in the day. Thats Cicero Ave. The cross street by the steeple tower crossing is Cermak rd .

Its all gone now and landscape is much different, the tower i think they left standing the last time i was in area many years ago.
As a young child i would scramble to get to the corner in summer to set up my lemonade stand. As a young teen i sold the scratch sheets in front of one of there entrance gates which they allowed back then.
To the left of that steeple that particular wall and directly across the street was were the beef joint was and i walked there to go to work .
The 2 flat we owned was built right after 1900 and i recall when installing a ceiling fan on the 2nd floor apartment for Dad there were gas pipes running through the ceiling that were capped used for lighting before our time .
The houses were still the same when i traveled through town back in the 90s .
They for some reason blocked off the turn from Cicero ave onto our old block and made the street a 1 way in the other direction which took me by surprise.
A trip down memory lane thats etched in my coconut forever.
Well there not that much. and now they have a mini-provari. (takes an 18350 battery and is only 3 1/2" long) it with 2 batteries was only 180 bucks (or the cost is only about 3 cartons of analogs) but it will last for years and years. (unlike the analogs) Paying a little bit more for top quality has never been a bad thing.
That would work for the sausage sandwiches, but Italian Beef definitely does not travel well.
They have a fridge lol Have one sandwich for lunch and the other for dinner. I am not saying to hang on to them for any length of time.
It would only have to travel from restaurant back to trailer.
LOL! If it's made right, it'll barely survive from the kitchen to the car before the bread disintegrates.
If they don't currently plan to stay, a meal at Luke's will change their minds. They might decide to move to Tucson.
TT, are you turning into a night owl? Seems like you check in later and later each night lol
Of course it is only 10PM your time. 11PM mine![]()
Looks like you and I are both stuck, TTAt least for awhile. I want to move back to the coast to be near my son and GS so bad that I can barely stand it. Our GS has been asking his dad for weeks now to come and see his Monna and his Poppa. We get to see him often now, but once he starts school that is going to change
