They did blood work the first time I went and never said a word about the results. You have to remember that I am in Podunk USA and the medical care is very scary here.

Stop by my medicine office salem and I'll get you fixed right up!

I've got medicine they haven't even thought of yet! A glass of Lizardade and some of my special home made brownies and you'll be flying!!

Boy, I don't know what's happening with ECF today. I completely lost a fairly long post. Hate it when that happens.

Well Nursie T, you sweet thing you, I'm sorry you have to work (ugh) and we'd sure rather have you right here!

Hiya Jerry. Glad to see you stop by! You've been missed buddy!

Sdh, I'll tell you what. I'll come up there and lay down in your yard nekkid and everybody will be looking at me and not your yard.

At least until the cops come.

But hon, just remember to keep your hands out of those cracks. You never know what could be in there. On the other hand ... it might be something good!! Hummm.

Gummy Bear, if you did the Resting/Dying Lion ... its the ONLY one I liked.

The carving of the lion is in Lucerne, Switzerland and this is what Mark Twain wrote about the Lion of Lucerne ...

The Lion lies in his lair in the perpendicular face of a low cliff — for he is carved from the living rock of the cliff. His size is colossal, his attitude is noble. His head is bowed, the broken spear is sticking in his shoulder, his protecting paw rests upon the lilies of France. Vines hang down the cliff and wave in the wind, and a clear stream trickles from above and empties into a pond at the base, and in the smooth surface of the pond the lion is mirrored, among the water-lilies.

Around about are green trees and grass. The place is a sheltered, reposeful woodland nook, remote from noise and stir and confusion — and all this is fitting, for lions do die in such places, and not on granite pedestals in public squares fenced with fancy iron railings. The Lion of Lucerne would be impressive anywhere, but nowhere so impressive as where he is.
— Mark Twain, A Tramp Abroad, 1880

One of my best works (I think) is the Dying Lion.
Lucerne's Dying Lion - Worth1000 Contests
If I google "The dying lion of lucerne", My version shows up on the first page. Not sure if it does with other peoples searches (you know how Google works) I use it as my avi over at Worth1000. (with an animated tail).

When I started doing my family tree a few years ago I found a link to the guy that carved it. All of his remaining letters are in an archive. It took several tries to get it translated but it turned out that my relative was a friend of his and they were just talking about his vacation and the gardens where they stayed. I thought that was cool. And until then I had never heard of The dying lion of lucerne.

Did you use a "plug in" or just what is found within PhotoShop?

You are so bad!

I have been sleeping almost around the clock. The doc told me to come back today if no improvement so I am headed back there again this afternoon. This is getting scary the way I am just not responding to these antibiotics :( I am going back to bed until my appt but will check in here when i get back :)

Don't make me come over there!!

Just Photoshop. Plug in??? which one did you think I used?

No idea ... I have hundreds of them tied in to my Paint shop Pro. I like and use Topaz Labs the most though, really good photo effects programs. Another one I find I use quite a bit is Digital Anarchy's Toon-It.

Yea same here I had to remind my Dr. two weeks later when I went back complaining that I was no better. She was going to change my antibiotic and after reading the lab report (after I reminded her) she discovered that not only the meds I was on but the one she wanted to change it to would be no good for that type bug. She gave me the one that the report said that bug was susceptible to and I was just fine in a week. Stay on their back.

I am. He changed the meds again to another $$$ antibiotic. I have pretty good insurance and even the generics for the past two have been pricey.

The blood work that he did on my first visit was to check my white blood count which was good.

He xrayed my sinuses and they are clear as a bell. I do not have a sinus infection. All of the congestion, drainage and swelling of my face is allergies. And that is while I am using Allegra and Flonase daily. I do have an ear infection and still some pnuemonia though. He gave me an injection of Decadron and that has helped already with the allergy symptoms. Hopefully, the third visit will be a charm :)

Better work! That's a long drive for me.

LOL, you might provide better care than my current doc

I have been meaning to change docs for years but this guy is conveniently located and I have never been this sick. I normally only go to him when I need my HBP meds.
