Don't be sorry JJ....It happens...its a hassle but life goes on...I "thought" I had it protected but bank decided to let 3 overdrafts thru the system on Monday. Plus with the overdraft charges.....Dh is po'd at me...however, it is canceled. They had old phone number so they must sit on these cards for awhile. When the numbers are stolen/compromised. If my bank does not overturn this...my monies are going elsewhere. I will find a bank with protection. So yes I am sorry with the pissy outlook...not directed at you guys....and no it is not a ecf related thing....I have it linked to two vendors...not ecf.

Just peeking my head in for a minute to say Hi to whomever is still hanging out here on TT's old porch!

Sorry for the hassles you're having SD, what a pain!!! Wouldn't you love to have some time alone with the hacker? I really hate those people! ((hugs)) to you. Hope it gets resolved for you without too much agony.

See the rest of you later, if I can find the time to hang out!! xoxo

I had my account # stolen a few years back. I have the option with BOA to use a shopsafe number now. I go online to my bank account and I create a CC# that is only good for the amount I set it to and is only good for a 1 time use. No problems since. I wish that all banks offered this option. It is fool proof.

So sorry that happened to you, Sd :( It is not a good feeling at all.

Thanks guys! I might cancel my account...and go with prepaid....I am going to prosecute this hacker when he/she is found.

My gut feeling tells me that he or she may never be found to prosecute. They cover their tracks well :(

Prepaid is a great idea. But, I think that charge pretty hefty fees for them. I wanted to get one for my son as a gift a few years back but the fees that they charged made it not worth it. There may be less expensive ones out there though. Worth looking into for sure :)

Sorry about the hacker, Sdh. Been there, done that—irritating, annoying and infuriating...

I have a hug for you also, Sdh—whether you like it or not (most likely the latter).

I know the feeling of violation and anger that you can't direct outward because you don't know who the sleazeball was and probably never will.

Thanks PI. I accept hugs. Yes, I will never know. However, the bank security can figure out what they can. I will be liable for the first 50.00 for sure. An expensive lesson is: I thought I was invincible.....I always check my account...however, I slacked this week. The loophole for them. If the bank gives me any crap...I am taking my business to another bank. With the crummy interests rates I have no loyalty to any bank.

I do know the person/s were sitting on this number for some time. It had a cell phone number from 1.2 years ago (guesstimate) I change numbers every 3 months. I usually buy suckie cells phones . This is how I know who/where they could have stolen the numbers from...
