Good Luck to all you Easterners. Hoping it's not as bad as predicted. If you can scurry out and get some 2 liter drink bottles, empty contents, fill with cold water and throw in freezer. Leave just a little head room for expansion. If you lose power they will keep your fridge freezer cold and foods in fridge cool for some time. We keep 10 frozen at all times and have much use for them almost every month, year round. My neighbors pull out their small generators to use just for their refrigerators. We don't have to do that with the frozen 2 liter bottles.

As we keep our frozen bottles ready for long periods and they thaw pretty frequently we put a drop of chlorine bleach in the water to keep down any cooties.

Hi Dies and hi Jan. Dies, we lost our power for about an hour. It's back on now, but it's very windy out there, so I wouldn't be surprised if we lose the power again.

If it counts i did some work today.
I got this gripper mod in mail yesterday and carefully opened the case as the 510 atty is known to wiggle which mine did with my DID tank on it .
Case is super glued but the 4 pegs that help it snap shut are not and it came apart easily with no damage and i JB welded the connector so it should be ok tomorrow.
I used it yesterday afternoon and little this morning and for the price i paid 39.00 it works nice and i can adjust the volts and read the ohms and read the battery voltage also.
The other weak spot as some have complained is the battery door breaks if you drop it.
If mine breaks i will just put its little fancy board in another case which i can easily do.

I've heard from many that have the gripper and I'm tempted because I do like VV and I'd like one that shows the ohms.

Don't really need it so I might wait until it's perfected a bit though.

If your not handy i would wait cause i hear all of them have that wiggle 510 connector . They should have epoxied it in i did this with my box mods i made.
The battery door also is a weak spot as mentioned its similar to the ones on some photosmart camera's easily broken if dropped or as i seen in thread folks using wrong battery and forcing door shut.
Its only held by 2 plastic pins.
