I got a 10 ml bottle of this flavoring quite awhile back, tried it at 10% and it tasted like burnt coffee with absolutely no sweetness. My question is, what can I add to this to make it vapeable for me? I was thinking of getting some sweetner or maybe some sweet cream or something. Does anyone have any advice or a recipe that they can point me towards that calls for TFA Cappuccino?

To me it is a straight up, even slightly burnt coffee flavor at around 3 or 4%. It's a strong flavor so I would back off your percentage a lot and see how it goes. I can't imagine needing anywhere near 10, I've tried it at 1 and still got plenty of flavor. It isn't sweet at all so if that's what your looking for you'll have to add something or look elsewhere.

My biggest problem with it is it's dark and gunks up my attys fast plus the flavor doesn't last. After a few days it starts to fade and a week into the bottle it the flavor is barely there no matter what percentage I start with.

Yeah it tastes pretty much like black coffee lol. I read somewhere that the recommended percentage was 10% but I might try it at lower %'s as well. Maybe some caramel and sweet cream (or something of that nature) might make it vapeable for me.

Last I recall, the coffee flavors from TFA come with a warning :). Jokes aside, the last coffee flavor I tried (Kona Coffee), I used drops not percentages. I dripped 2 drops into 10ml and *that* alone was overpowering. Those specific flavors are what I truly consider super-concentrates and 10% on any of them would be severe overkill.

I've had better luck with coffee flavors by working backwards. I add my cream, caramel, vanilla, sweetener (whatever combination) and try a quick vape to get it right. After it's right I add a drop of the coffee flavor per ml of e-liquid. If it needs more, I go up gradually.

I used to start with the coffee and try to "decorate" it with cream and sweetener...always turned out burnt because it was too dang strong.

That makes sense, I was thinking off starting with coffee and doing the same as you, thanks for saving me the hassle XD but did it turn out well with cream, sweetner? I like a good coffee flavored juice but I don't exactly like my coffee black

Sounds like a good plan. I tried kona TFA maybe about 8% it got dumped a week later. Wound up mixing a NF or cappelas kona cream. Any tfa coffee was put on the back shelf. This gives me hope to revisit. Thanks for the tip!

Honestly, IMO, you'd do better doing a coffee extract using ground coffee beans, PG and/or VG, a small amount of PGA and then letting it steep/age for about a week. Once it's good to go, filter it using wire mesh and a coffee filter, bottle it and then use that in a % mix with other flavors.

I did a small test batch using 90% PG, 10% PGA and about 6 tablespoons of course ground coffee. Top the coffee off with the PG/PGA mix just until it covers the top of it and microwave that for 10-20 seconds. Let it cool down, cap it for a week, then filter it. It came out to about 30ml of extract.

Using the above, I mixed 5-8% with other flavors and got a really nice vape.

Well, TFA coffee flavors have not been my cup of tea, so to speak. I tried, I really did - and I know those TFA flavors appeal to some people, so it might work for you.

I use FlavourArt Espresso for nearly all my coffee mixes, adding just a touch of it. It's a very strong flavoring I use sparingly, pure espresso but not bitter or burnt. I never ever drink or vape black coffee. When I discovered how strong FlavourArt Espresso is, I learned to mix everything else first. I usually add 1-2% of it. Sometimes I use FlavourArt Tiramisu instead, which is also strongly coffee flavored, but with some chocolate, more sweetness, a bit of vanilla or cake if you focus hard.

The one other coffee flavoring I've liked is Nature's Flavors organic Coffee. It's easily overwhelmed by other flavors, so it takes more. I use it for plainer mixes (just add cream and sweetener).

For cream I use FlavourArt Fresh Cream. It tastes like plain unsweetened cream, makes a very creamy coffee added at 2%. I sweeten with flavors as often as with Sucralose or Ethyl Maltol. I might use any of these: FlavorWest Salted Caramel, FlavorWest Butter Pecan (awesome sweet addition to coffee!), FlavourArt Cocoa, various vanillas, pie flavors, nuts, sweet cinnamon, Capella's sweet raspberry, FA Irish Cream (mmm!), any Amaretto... ahhhh, my kinda coffee. I'm sure black coffee purists are gagging at this, lol.

Perhaps the very reason Extracts work better is the fact they are much weaker to start off with. The flavor is extracted but in no way turned into a high concentrate.
Seems logical if following the same principle, less is more, some of the Flavorings would work much better.

It would also help in referencing TFA Cappuccino for people to be more aware of the discussion at hand. There is a significant difference between:
TFA Cappuccino
and
TFA Caramel Cappuccino

TFA Cappuccino at 10% is nowhere near as strong as TFA Car Cap at 1 Drop per 10ml.

I have TPA, FA and Capellas espressos (OK, so I love hot strong black coffee or espresso, NO cream or sugar :)) and I find the FA the strongest and use it at about 4%, TPA for me needs 8% and Capellas 5%.

Flavor wise I find the Capellas has a coffee ice cream flavor to me, which may suit the mixers looking for a smoother, creamier flavor.

Black coffee purists probably are  I love a splash of Amaretto flavoring or Irish Cream in my coffee, I might try it in e-liquid form! I've actually only tried TFA flavorings but I've heard alot of good things about FlavourArt so I might give them a try next. Thanks for all the help :)

Ahh, so your one of them! There's nothing wrong with that though, just personal preference :) thanks for the suggestion, I'll remember to check out Capella espresso. I'm really just looking for something to mix with the TFA Cappuccino to "salvage" it and make it vapeable for me (I hate wasting anything). Maybe something to sweeten it up a little bit and make it tastier.

To sweeten it up you can try (TFA) sweetener or EM (Cotton Candy is the same) or Marshmallow. For cream you can try Whipped Cream or Sweet Cream or Bavarian Cream. I would also add some Caramel because everything is better with a little Caramel  .

Cheers,
Steve

thanks for this information Mr. Head. I now understand why my 5% coffee mix only works as an additive one drop at a time. So what's the difference in buying flavoring from NaturesFlavors.com or from ecigexpress?
