between here and there
I would also say 'medium' range overall. You just have to test for your own tastes. Generally, best practices(with any flavor maker) is to start low % 1-3 % range and work up from there. Overall its kind of a given overall theme. It is known that the majority of FA(FlavorArt) is typically very strong while a lot of FW(FlavorWest) is typically on the weak side. But again, that does not mean all of their flavors are.

Your best bet is look at the reviews on vendor websites to get a general feel for any particular flavor.

Only the one shot flavors(typically listed as such) are truely the one shot....this means the vendor/flavor maker has taken the time to mix several ingredients in a recipe then sells that finished product to the masses, so all we have to do is figure out what % we wish to use with our nic base, pg and vg. As you probably have guessed these are very easy to get a great tasting product with.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

:)

ELR recipes has a great flavor list of recommended percentages and descriptions. ECF doesn't allow links to this site, but it is a safe site and free to join. I find their tools very useful and like the calculator. The flavor stash is great for keeping track of your inventory.

I may be starting at to high of a percentage. I usually am up around 8% to 10% for the main flavor that I am going for. I will have to test at a lower percentage.
Thank you so much.

Does anyone know if the flavors from TFA are strong or weak. I have a bunch and this information will help me with my mixes.
Thanks in advance.

On average, I would put TFA Flavorings in the Middle of the Road strength-wise.

I use mostly TFA flavorings, but also some OSDIY, Capella, and a few others. I agree with the others about % used of TFA flavorings. In peeking back at several recipes I regularly make, I use an average of about 5-7% for the primary flavoring, maybe 2-4% for most secondary flavorings, and from 0.5-1.5% for sweeteners and/or other accents.

There are some TFA flavorings though, that are very potent, IMO. TFA Peppermint is 1 of those. I use only about 3-4 drops per 30mL bottle of eliquid, when using it singly, and it's plenty strong even at that. I use their Maraschino Cherry at about 0.5-1% at most in a mix with other flavorings. The TFA Ripe Banana is one that's extremely potent, and will likely "put hair on your chest" if you use more than just a very tiny % in a mix. It's also a known plastic tank cracker and will literally destroy the rubber plunger part on a syringe!

Overall though, TFA flavorings are still my favorite ones to use in recipes that I make that take 3 or more flavorings. Probably 75% of the approx. 200 flavorings I have are TFA, maybe 15% are OSDIY, FW, LOR, or INW, and the remaining 10% are Capella.
