TFA Flu Cured Alternative

TFA Flu Cured flavoring hits the spot for me...both as a single flavoring and as one to mix with RY4 flavorings.

I understand TFA no longer produces their Flu Cured. Does someone know of a good Flu Cured-a-like?

They did discontinue it,but you can contact them and they will give you the formula they used to make it,that way you can continue to get the taste that you want.

I emailed and was provided the recipe. I was told one of the ingredients was difficult to procure. Have you had luck with that?

I never got the recipe,as i didn't care for that flavor when i tried it.I just happened to see that the listing said they would provide the recipe for it.Which ingredient is it that they said is hard to get?There's a good chance someone here will probably know of somewhere to get it.

I just bought a bunch of Flue-cured from Hangsen. Can't tell you how good it is because I have nothing to compare it to, but a recipe I'm working on called for it, so I bought a bunch from BuyHangsen.com.

If you wind up having to find a different flavor, I'd suggest trying the Hangsen and the Inawera lines. The problem here is that each of them have a kazillion different flavors so what to order becomes the problem. If it comes to it, I'd suggest posting your question in both the Inawera and Hangsen threads. You might get some suggestions that way.

Also, for what it's worth, I'm really liking the two Inawera flavors that I have (Vanilla for Pipe and Inawera Blend). They're on the top of my list for new thing to try.

Five years ago we were buying everthing mail order. We got a flue cured that I really liked but we can't remember who it was from. Red and black designs on a while label.

I got some of the Seedmans virginia fire cured but it doesn't taste like anything I remember.
