I'm having a hard time getting good flavors from my fruit flavors from tfa. I start my test mixes at the recommended % . They are not strong enough for my liking but as I add more flavor it just starts to taste odd. I've had a few successful mixes but things seem to be weak flavored. 50/50 18%nic. Using a nautilus tank, vamo v5 3.3~3.5v 7~9watts.

I agree with you. I am trying to get a feel for some of the flavors I have. Mixing a watermelon cantaloupe and just can't get either flavor to really come out. I use to buy from a bm and there flavors are strong. He is using some tfa flavors, of coarse he's not going to tell me his recipes because he's a royal d bag. Guys a jerk and that's one of the reasons why I started diy.

I found a lot of the recommended % to be too high. Start way low, say 2-3%, and adjust from there. Too much flavor = no flavor or weird flavor. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but it's as true as Newton's law.

I keep reading that here too. So I tried that, but it didn't help. Somebody else here suggested this - if you can smell it but not taste it, it's too much flavor. That was a big help to me.

I like a big flavor. The only things I can taste at 2-3% are tobacco and some coffees, and even those are weak. Bakery and fruits I normally do a single flavor at around 15% - 18%. Sometimes I get frustrated if they won't come out the way I like and I just give up on them. If they don't taste gross, I'll pour all the failed samples into one mystery mix. Others, I try adding a few drops of whatever- EM, marshmallow, tobacco, etc. TFA Raspberry (sweet) was a dud until I added a little vanilla. That was really good.

I'll try the lemon juice, I read about Apple cider vinegar helping as well? I think my next order is going to be fa or cappella. I'm not very impressed with most of the flavors I bought and the spearmint is straight garbage. Which sucks as spearmint was my adv. I can't get wintergreen good either but I think I'm chasing the flavor I want and going to bold with it. Is there a list of what ppl like most of each vendor's flavors? I would be nice if somebody made a kit of all the vendors top rated flavors.

Flavor Art is AWESOME. Almost all of their flavors are spot on. Fruits especially.

Eliquidmart has 5ml bottles for $1.69 for fruits/sweets, and $2.29 for tobacco. FA flavors are really strong, so you don't need much. I'd say those 5ml bottles are worth 10ml of TFA.

Try adding a few drops of lemon juice, the acidity helps the flavors to "pop".

Is that a few drops to 10ml?
Yeah try one drop per 10ml and then move up from there...

My favorite fruits are:

Sweet Mango, Capella
Black Currant, Inawera
White Peach, Flavor Art

TFA fruits generally 8-12%
Stand alone
Juicy Peach @ 8 works nice
1%em seems to help some fruits
Hot Bath and most single flavor fruits are good to go next day - better after a week
Cream is a good additive for fruits

Combos work better
Blueberry Extra + Strawberry Ripe
Blueberry + Raspberry sweet

Anything you plan on making small qty. and vaping quick, cut the flavor to the low side and Warm bath for 1 hour shaking occasionally. I use a thermal cup for this process.
Ultrasonic cleaner also quick steeps simple flavors fast.
