It's my understanding that the new manufacturer has successfully matched the flavor according to the TFA tasters. They compared the old & new in blind tastings and discerned no difference .

I bet that someone who uses it in a recipe as a ADV, would be a better judge of that. I have the original in a small bottle, been a long time that I used it, so that would not be me. :|

Perhaps if the person has no preconceived notion and it's a blind test. I would personally only trust a blind test for something like this. SB Ripe is very popular for TFA and doubt they would settle for anything less than a match.
