OK... Both are Sucralose, but are they the same strength? I saw a recipe I wanted to try that called for the TFA version, but I only have EZ-Sweetz. The recipe called for about 7% TFA Sweetner. I can't imagine using 7% EZ-Sweetz!!! Seems like way too much. So, how do the 2 compare, strength wise???

Found it interesting that TFA takes a day to become tasty sweet.
I did a test in unflavored vs. unsweetened - 50/50 mix - 2 drops in 5 ml
30 minute bath and 3 hrs sitting.
Tasted slightly sweeter than unsweetened.
24hrs. later tasted nicely sweet. Not stronger but more correct.

So you're saying the TFA needs steeping? Interesting, and great info!!!

Thanks Face!!! But I have to say that I'm kind of disappointed whenever you post and it doesn't include some hilarious photo caption....

I asked this question while back with no answer,Glad you got one.I was going to order TPA sweetner and compare it to Ez Sweetz.I love ez sweetz and got a great deal on ebay while back,But yet to see a deal like it again. It is a little expensive.

The great thing about the EZ-Sweet is it will last FOREVER! Thanks to crxess for giving us a little hands-on data, but I think someone (maybe me if I get motivated) needs to make identical recipes substituting only the sweetener. The hard part is going to be equating the volume of each to use. Then you also have to figure steep times. If someone can suggest a good experiment, without me needing to do 37 different samples, I just might do it. I have EZ, but would need to order the TFA. I'll be placing an order this week anyways, so I'll add it if needed. Give me some feedback and ideas for tests, peeps!!

Whaaaaat?! They offer a free (actually $0.01 plus $2.95 shipping) sample. Someone mentioned a while back that there's no limit to how many free samples you can lump into that $0.01 "free" trial and still pay only $2.95 shipping. In theory, you could get 100 free samples for $0.01 each plus $2.95 shipping. But that would just be greedy and dumb since no human could possibly consume that many bottles of EZ Sweetz in their lifetime.

TFA sweetener is made with propylene glycol and EZ-Sweetz is filtered water. Both are sucralose, water soluble and usable in DIY. However I can use EZ to sweeten my coffee/tea but can't use TFA's.

edit: wrong type of water

I probably could. I use lots of sweetener in my coffee. I didn't know you could get more than 1 sample for the $2.95 shipping. I might have to try it- 5 maybe, certainly not 100!
