I originally ordered just PG from onestopDIY, but turned around and just ordered some VG as well. The more I read into this DIY, the more I'm learning (vg for more vapor and damping flavor). The video I saw on onestopDIY had a young lady mixing rum at 20%, but I have read to get nowhere near that with the tobacco blends. I'm going to throw together a 2ml test sample when I get the kit and try .05-.1 ml of tobacco blend and the rest PG. No nic until I get the flavors right. I feel like a darn chemist! haha... Thanks for the input Lynda and Jst!

I've used the tobacco blend continuously for a year, though also the alc rather than the PG version (I do some 0PG stuff).

I'm a high flavor person, use it at 12% with another 8% vanilla, or black cherry, or...
(TA is a different story, I use the "TA diluted" at just a handful of drops per 10ml, to perk up a tobacco mix made with a different tobacco flavoring)

Seedman Commercial cigarette flavoring I'll use at 15% for a simple tobacco, including one where I add a couple % of one other flavor. I've just started doing a four-flavor tobacco where I "only" use 8% Seedman Commercial (total flavoring still comes in at 20%).

Jst... You and I have been vaping for about the same amount of time. I tried a regular store ecig back around Thanksgiving of last year, then went with a kit from v2cigs.com (before I found ECF). Then, finding this place, totally changed my view of everything.... never would imagine mixing my own liquids and such. It has been a fast and very enjoyable transition from analogs!

Mark, I have some eliquids (10ml each) I purchased from a local tobacco shop that were 4 for 10 bucks. They were trying to get rid of them. No brand on the liquids, but they came in a green box. The tobacco ones sort of have a musky taste. Perhaps I will put a few drops of the Tob Blend and see what happens.

TA adds real zest to an otherwise bland tobacco. If you have the TA diluted, try two drops per 10ml as a start. If it's the undiluted TA, very thick, try only 1 drop per 10ml, and shake it a lot (straight TA is miserably thick).

Markfm,
How do you transfer TA from the slim vial into your 10ml bottle?
Syringe, pour carefully, or use the plastic wick from the TA's cap?

My first DIY attempt was TFA Tobacco Blend (PG) at 10% in a 70/30 PG/VG base at 24 mg nic

At first I was blown away by how much like a fresh pack of marlboros it smelled, and tasted

I quickly became grossed out, and continue to be so after 2 weeks of steeping. All I can taste is this overwhelming sweet cotton candy undertone (EM I assume), there is zero smoky-ness or dryness, and its far too 'wet' for me if it makes any sense

In retrospect I think I would have done better at <5%, maybe even 2%, with some latakia. I have some FA oakwood and bitter wizard on the way, I may try and cut the batch in half and dry it out with the oakwood and bitter it up with the BWizard

Bringing this back to the top because tob blend was one of the first flavors I ordered (TFA tobacco and tobacco blend). But, I just finally tried the blend. I love it straight up at 10%. I'm thinking of tweaking it a little to get just a tad more kick or something. Might just try 2% bitter wizard, or perique black, or latikia (sp?)

I'm just so dam exited! I've gotten all kinds of great 4-5 flavor tobacco recipes. All started from you good folks. And here I found one with ONE flavor that I like. AWESOME!!! (Thanks Dan!!!!)

Say mark, or anybody that knows, I hear a lot here about the Seedman's. Would you suggest any of them that are similar to TFA Tobacco Blend? Maybe with a little more umph. I REALLY like one flavor mixing. I'm a simple man. :)

I think most people use Seedman's in very small %'s and just to add a background note.
