Hey Leothwyn, take a look at Health Cabin. I'm sure they have a Flue Cured flavoring.

Thanks AP... I've meant to try out some of the HC flavors. I'll probably check that one out while I'm at it. Actually it was Sweeny, a few posts back, that was asking about flue cured... but thanks for the reminder to try HC.

Hi I have been using Guainacol for years in a virginia, fire cured mix. Provides a very smokey flavor to the mix. Use sparinly :)
Dan

Thanks for the advice. Smokey sounds good. I haven't figured out the math yet, but I was going to dilute it in PG so that when I use it at 8% in a recipe it will be at the 2ppm that TPA recommends as the max.. I figured that would give me room to use it subtly if I want.

OK I am uber confused (Go easy on me, Im a noob).

I have tobacco Absolute (1.Pure), tobacco Extract, and a Tobacco Blend with Alcohol which I made myself. Which am I supposed to use in this mix? It seems like it switched somewhere in the thread..

Also, I am confused about making a small batch of this Flavor. I understand I use the total flavoring at 10% with my nic juice, but what if I were going to make up say 5 or 10ml. of my flavor concentrate? The tobacco (extract, blend, Absolute....whichever) Seems like it would be a very very miniscule amount. Maybe 1 drop??

Like I said, I just need some guidence.

Thanks,

Steve

Well I got quite a few tabacco flavors here...

Virginia FA, FA Dark Vapure, Cuban Supreme FA, Desert ship TPA, Chocolate tab WESTERN and DK Tab TPA.

TPA is definitely good but its more sweet than other ones... Virginia, Dark Vapure and Desert ship will get stronger after 7+ days steeping (alot stronger, so be careful).

I have Flue Cured (by AVE) and its good too... but I feel thats not for me... I am thinking to trade this one... the bottle still has about 5ml now.

I've made a few recipes using the tab flavors I mentioned above but as I said I prefer something more sweet. I usually put some vanilla flavors on my recipes too.

I have posted this I do not know how many times, but this is the same recipe I have been using since 2010:

TA (Tobacco Absolute), and EM (Ethyl Maltol) is a great base. It allows to to add pretty much any other flavor to it. This is my tobbaco base concoction. Unfortunatly the seedmans darkens it up alittle, but it is fairly clear at 10%.

You will need the following:

Perfumers Apprentice - Cotton Candy 2 x 1oz

TOB506 Commercial Cigarette Concentrate 4 x 1/2oz

Perfumers Apprentice - Tobacco Absolute (1. Pure) 1 x 2.5ml

Now, the cotton candy from perfumer apprentice is ethyl maltol suspended in PG @ 10%, warm the cotton candy and the 2.5ml of TA (tobacco absolute) in a sink of HOT water.

Get a 4oz bottle to add everything into, uncap the cotton candy and pour it all into the 4oz bottle, then uncap the TA, it will not be thick now as the hot bath has made it thinner. Use a pipette (note the TA will stain the pipette so use this pipette only for TA) and put .3ml of TA into the cotton candy (About 6 drops). Now cap the cotton candy and shake until it is mixed. Now add the seedmans concentrate to the cotton candy and shake until mixed.

The result is a approx 120ml of tobacco base that is very satisfying IMO @ 10%, and you can add hazelnut or peanut flavor to your mix to give it a nutty flavor. Add vanilla, black cherry, or caramel to give it those notes.
When adding menthol us it at 3% to the 7% tobacco base.
Well hope this helps.
Dan

Dan, I ordered the fixin's for this base today. Henceforth I'm going to refer to it as DTB - Dan's Tobacco Base ;)
