I bought this thinkin', "Hey... this would be a GREAT flavor to add to my collection. I know it's an "essence" of Skittles and other flavors as blueberry, raspberry and a tad of other flavors need to be added to make it a TRUE Skittles but, no matter what I do, it's got this nasty after taste that I can't seem to rid it of. I've done it in all strengths from only 3% to as high as 20%. Has anyone found a way to remove that after taste...? The initial flavor is awesome but... goes down hill from there.

Whatever you do, DO NOT ever buy TFA Rainbow Drops, unless of course you enjoy vaping something akin to a mixture of turpentine and Naphtha (zippo fluid) with heavy overtones of concentrated Pinesol.
no matter what percentage you mix it at, it's without a doubt the most horrid thing to try and vape, on the other hand it would probably make a great paint stripper, or toilet bowel cleaner.

Come to think of it... my car windows need cleaning BUT, it's prolly change them molecularly if I used that stuff. I've NEVER had anything as bad as that. Although, I need to find the flavors and leave out the 'malta' they have as an essence for the candy flavor. NOTHING has worked to fix it. Even in using Lorann Sour and Tart. Really scary stuffs right there... lol

You may need to be using it as a secondary flavoring, as opposed to the current primary flavoring. I don't have that particular flavor-but I have found that the ones that are like that, tend to be made best by adding creams to round out the strong flavoring. Might I recommend trying it with a mix like this before you dump it:

Cotton Candy - 7%
Vanilla Custard - 6%
Bavarian Cream - 6%

and then add say 2% of the Skittles flavoring and go from there.

Mind, you may also need to add a fruit in there to make the fruitiness of the flavoring come forward. But I don't believe that the Skittles flavoring was meant as a primary flavor unfortunately.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

I've found that both FW and TFA skittles knock off flavorings are pretty bad. One was better, but I think I'll just toss both of them. I have enough good flavorings, that trying to correct bad ones is a waste of my time.

Some that are destined for the trash heap:
TFA granny smith tart apple
FW Skittles type
TFA rainbow drops
FW plum (prune was more like it, nothing tart or delicious in that one)
FW tall maroon soda (Dr.Pepper knock off) Not even close for vaping (might be fine for candy making, but i have heard form others that it really isn't)
Capsicum - I'll keep this around for pranks, but there is no good use for vaping, unless you enjoy scorching your entire respiratory system.
TFA? Jalepeno - Not much of an improvement over capsicum, and it seems to be an oil as it is a thin green layer over clear liquid. Use for food, not juice.
CAP energy drink - Never had energy drinks, so I thought Id give it a whirl. NOPE! It's like cherry vomit. Y'all have fun with this at the landfill.
TFA Grape juice - didn't get anything grape-y from it. such a dissapointment.
TFA Lemon - Again, total weak sauce. No level from 3-20% gave me anything remotely close to a satisfying lemon flavor.
TFA Raspberry - too perfumey. Might work well in a candy, though.

I'm sure I have others that will be tossed or re-purposed for food consumption, but the above were no good for vaping (for ME, your mileage may vary).
