Hello all. I've recently started to use the rba coils that came with my tfv12 and I've had an issue with both the dual and triple coil. I can't seem to unscrew the cap ( not sure correct term) or cover for the top of the deck. I've already managed to completely destroy my dual coil by trying to get it off sadly. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This might be the time to find and watch a review/demo video to make sure you're following all the steps. Also there are lots of pinned threads here that might be of help. I wouldn't start trying to make coils unless you've got the basics mapped out, and maybe you need a bit more watching/reading?

That's what I would do, but I'm nervous about building coils, even though technically, I think I may be ready for it soon.

Good luck!

The issue has nothing to do with coils. The issue is that thing that i have pointed at will not unscrew from the deck

My go to tool for anything vape related is a pair of hemostats. Great grip, won't bend the equipment (usually)... I've seen pics of those tank grippers/turners that people use on here.... They're like a tiny bottle-opener that one uses with really tight lids.... Only way smaller. That might have helped your grip, I'm sure you can pick them up at Fast Tech cheaply or somewhere else more swiftly. Glad you were able to solve your problem. :)

Holy hell...i didn't even know vaping had been around that long. I've only been into this about a year and a half and had only known about it for about 2 years prior
Be glad for that, it was rough back then. I struggled with dual using for a long time, basically until the genisis atty came around.

Hemostats are a medical product used for holding and clamping. They're kind of a cross between tweezers and scissors... Great grip on things and you can "set" your width grip as well, if you need to. Husband picked me up a mini pair (they're short) at Harbor Freight, and I love them for many pesky objects, including my e-cig from time to time.... They fit small places, and increase leverage, etc. I think most hardware stores carry them, could also get them at a medical supply store, I guess. I find them super useful, at least so far due to their ability to go tiny places.... :)

Mine are super short, so they're actually easier to manipulate stuff with... Usually. Oh, I guess I should pass along the message that I got when first here, which is no drug talk on ECF, it's part of the rules. Which actually took me a while to find, they're in the new members sub-forum above this one...

Glad you got it sorted,

Hi and welcome. In addition to rubber bands, hemostats, ceramic tweezers with a grip (mine have two holes, a big and small), I have also found a pair of those rubber sheet jar openers from the grocery store a handy thing to have in the vape tools kit.
Yeah mine have 2 grips as well but the damn tfv12 coil is so fat that it doesn't fit ( too small for the big and and too big for the little one). The rubber jar openers aren't a bad idea tho I'll have to pick a couple of those up and give it a shot next time i need to wick
