TFV4 bad coils?

Anyone been getting bad coils lately? I got some nickel coils to try out and 3 were bad in the pack before I found one that would fire. Then bought a pack of quads, first one wouldn't fire second wouldn't screw all the way in the base. Finally third one I pulled out worked. These things are too expensive to be getting one or two in a pack that work.

I just got a TFV4 yesterday, on my first included coil (triple), and although it fires, and produces a nice vape, it also takes several seconds to get going. Like, 4 or 5 solid seconds before I start to hear a sizzle and feel anything but air coming through. Since I'm new to big subohm tanks, I didn't know if this was normal. I came from squonking with a dripper so this is a whole new ball of wax for me.

I had a CLP2 that shows as "short" on 2 different mods (JoyTech Cuboid and Koopor Mini) and reads ~0.11 ohm on a volt-meter when it should be ~0.35 ohm. I just tore it down and couldn't find any visual indication why it was reading so low.
