Uwell Crown coils taste bad

I just bought the Crown tank and the coils that came with it delivered a great tasting vapor. However, I just bought a four pack of the replacement .25 coils and they have a horrible taste. Even after running a few tanks of juice through one it still has a bad taste. Please help. What can I do to get rid of this taste?

did you wick the coils properly before you installed them?

Sometimes you just get bad ones. In a recent 4 pack, I had 2 good ones and 2 bad. It does suck when it happens though.

maybe I'm just lucky, I've swapped coils on my crown tank 4 times already (ni200, 0.25, 0.5, back to ni200) haven't really had any issues with them.

I find that all these coils need to be wicked and broken in properly. I make sure the cotton is nice and saturated (including the holes on the side) before I install them. Then it usually takes about 5-10 prime puffs at low wattage or temperature before I start to really vape them, even then it usually takes about 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank to break them in.

I found a video on youtube that show how to break a coil in by starting at low watts and bumping the wattage up in 5 watt increments. It seems to work some what. I find that emptying the tank after the first one or two tanks and washing it helps as well. There is another problem with the coils not lasting long enough. I had one coils that lasted 12 days. The others lasted between 4 and 7 days.
