TFV4 Mini with TF-RCA...why four screws/posts?

I got a TFV4 Mini kit the other day and it comes with the TF-RCA rba section, which I guess stands for "Rebuildable Clapton Atomizer". I'm just getting started building, and the TFV4's build deck is roomier and easier to work with than the Subtank Mini's deck but...

I don't understand, why four screws? Even the clapton coil that's pre-installed on it only uses two. From what I know, decks with four "posts" are designed for dual coil building, but the way the four screws are positioned in this thing, I don't see how you would do it. Is it supposed to allow for dual coils, or does it have something to do with clapton coils?

Here's a picture of it, in case you've never seen it...

Can anyone set me straight on this? Thanks!

You can run dual parallel coils. You can run dual in-line coils. You can wrap your coils clockwise or counter-clockwise in single coil mode.

I don't see how two coils could fit, unless maybe they were super micro? Am I not understanding here? It looks like to me, the only real option for direction of the coil is like what is pictured...if you tried to use all 4 screws with dual coils, they'd be sitting right on top of each other.

EDIT: Oh, it's not pictured, here:

Where does the second coil go?

Hardly super-micro, the parallel is 2.5mm in the picture above, the inline is 3mm. That clapton in the Smok pics is at least a 3.5mm.

Four screws because options. And the TFV4 deck has roughly the same space to work with as a Kayfun V4, btw.

With the inline, legs are normal length and even. Parallel, legs are a bit lop-sided (about the same as you'd get with ANY center-post deck RTA, btw), place one coil slightly higher than the other, one coil wound clockwise, the other counter-clockwise.

Huh. I think I have finally found my next challenge. Can you believe I've only been doing this 2 days, pretty good! :)

(Actually I still have a long ways to go with single coils, my builds aren't exactly what you'd call "good".)

I'd start a new thread, but there seems to be a few followers to this TF-RCA thread already.....

Wicking is the subject here:

I've wicked this thing just about every which way I can but it still seems I run into a situation where the juice can't make it to the coil fast enough; dry hits are occurring. Yes, I'm using a high VG juice, but this is the first atomizer, ever, that there has been an issue with juice flow (high VG) to the coil.

I have Cthulhus, Billows, Goliaths, Bellus, etc., (no issues with wicking) but this TF-RCA deck is driving me nuts with wicking issues! I've set the wick at the top of the channel, half way down the channel and all the way through the channel, thick cotton roll, thin cotton roll, teased cotton, not teased cotton.....

Any success stories out there?

Ok, looked further on the wicking issues; didn't let it beat me. Problem was two fold.....

Unbeknownst to me, I had hot spot issues with my titanium build.....thus the reason for some fiery hits. Fixed.

Decided to cut the wick at the tail end to a "V" shape and let the tail of the "V" hang out in the juice channel. This seems to be working, cause I can hit the atty fairly frequently without getting a dry hit and there's no flooding (bonus).

I'll vape a few tank fulls and see where this lands.
