This is media spin....in their headlines and media spots they make it appear that any Electronic Cigarettes are banned. Law abiding citizens, such as myself have been led to believe that they were banned a year ago. When my daughter suggested I look into these as an avenue to quit smoking, I told her they were banned in Oregon. Had it not been for some more investigation on my part, I would not be smoke free today...I am sure there are thousands of Oregonians who will not try these now, as they believe that they are "illegal."

Maybe some of you could car pool up to the NW vape meet. Provape will be there, we have prizes and it will be held in a really nice microbrewery. I have heard they have excellent food and beer.
I know, crazy, huh? We in OR are all for legalizing weed and making your own decision on whether or not you want to die when you get filled with cancer and such, but gawd forbid we can smoke from technology that makes our habit more healthy.. OR is a wierd bunch. I've lived here for 11 years and still can figure them out.

The widespread misinformation is just an unfortunate side-effect of the media playing telephone. My regular bar, which had always been vape friendly, is now telling people they can't vape inside because the OLCC just made it illegal... believed them for a minute, but I'm guessing it's just this story getting blown way out of proportion.
