OK, like a lot of people, I saw the BluCig ads. I guess, from what I've read, that I'm lucky I didn't make the impulse buy, but the idea of "vaping" kind of stuck with me. I smoke about a pack of Marlboro 100's a day, and though I (and my wife) have "stopped" smoking for years at a time, we've never "quit" smoking.

We both just like nicotine. I don't like smoke, though. Don't like the smell, the wheezing, shortened lifespan, being a social pariah, etc. So, like a lot of you, I think vaping is the answer.

As I tried to glean more information, I kept finding myself back here, reading another review, another opinion, another detailed answer to my questions which someone else was courteous enough to ask for me. The more I read, the more I'm convinced that I (we) will be vaping soon.

Things I've learned here which I couldn't learn elsewhere:

  • I will probably be happy starting off with the Joye 510
  • I will fairly quickly need a PCC, USB passthrough, juice, lipton tea bags, etc. if I really want to replace cigarettes (and I do)
  • It seems that nhaler is a well respected supplier with good prices and customer service.
  • No matter what I buy initially in terms of devices, accessories and flavors, I will want to try more!

Without this site, and all of you nice (and even the few not-so-nice8-o) people, I wouldn't have been able to learn all of this so easily. Honestly, I would have probably given up by now if I had to get the info from retail sites (most send my BS meter to the red).

When I stub out my last cigarette, it will be partially due to your efforts here, and I'm sure that's the case with a lot of others who have lurked around for info. and found it on this site. This community you've created may save a lot of lives, including mine.

So..... Thanks!

You are doing OK - I rummaged around here for weeks before I even joined.

Dont forget some spare atomisers, they are an absolute must.

Oh and I would order the juice/liquid at the same time as the e-cig, keep the volume low 5ml & 10ml testers till you find which ones you like.
The ones you dont like can be sold or swapped here.....

Good to know. I'm getting that once you switch, you don't want to have to go back under any circumstances. Some people seem to be preparing for WWIII with their private stock. I guess that's the way I'd feel now if I thought the FDA might stop analogs.

It also seems like many/most people only like the tobacco flavors at first, and then get into the other flavors. Are they all sweet flavors because of the glycerin being sweet? I mean, I don't see bacon juice, or parmesan...:D

I don't know about bacon - who knows, might be interesting - a "vape" diet? Vape your bacon rather than eat it? ;)

But I'd like to see herbal flavors, myself. I might try to make some once I learn more. Love tinkering with stuff...

Briar.

I don't think this is the case.

I think there are people that want tobacco flavors, and those that would prefer something different.

I have tried a number of flavors, and have decided that only tobacco flavors are going to work for me. But in the effort of trying so many flavors, I have found a BUNCH that will mix really well with the tobacco flavors, so I have some small bottles of those around still for that purpose.

--Caramel
--Butterscotch
--English Toffee
--Vanilla
--Coffee
--Chocolate

But all of my fruit flavors are relegated to purgatory forever more.
Yet some people just love them some fruit flavors.
