Hey All,

I learned the little bit I know about vaping within the past few weeks - I'm astounded and thrilled and just so hopeful. I've smoked for ~30 years, quit once for about 14 months and another time for a few months. Can't even estimate the amount of money I've spent on patches, etc. They have not been working well.

Like many of the newbies I started with the cigarette look-a-likes and have already upgraded. The lingo is starting to stick - I've spent a lot of time reading these boards and just absorbing all sorts of info. Really appreciate how alternative and healthier and just a little bit wilda$$ the whole vaping experience/culture feels.

So - thanks for being here. Quite an adventure.

Welcome to ECF!
So please tell us where you began with e-cigs and what you now vape. Are you seeing yourself as a vapor or a vapor about to turn this into hobby? Thought I was going to be just a vapor but now after 3+ months, I find myself as a vapor with a new hobby. Kinda fun and kinda of expensive but if I keep my expenses below the cost of my monthly analogs, this trip is worth the ride.

I started with with Blu (never touched an analog since), on to Zeecigs 510, then an Ego passthrough, now use Ego Twist with Vision Mini Vivi Nova's or Kanger T2.

Good luck on your adventure. ECF is a great forum to get the best and most current information!

Thanks for the welcome! I started with a Blu --> Volt, and now have a Go Go and some ego twists. I'm still a little bit intimidated by the specialized language, so that's as far as I can explain right now. Imagine I'll be able to do the vaping street talk before I know it ;-))

It's been repeated many, many times, but one of the biggest things I've realized is how much the liquid matters (duh, huh?) Flavors I thought I would like I absolutely do not. In my tiny amount of experience, seems like this is going to be something other, and the sooner I lean into that the easier it's going to be. I tried to get tobacco flavors but they feel pretty harsh right now - maybe later after I've had some distance from cigarettes? The flavors that are farthest away from anything I've been doing seem most successful right now.

I'm still smoking the occasional analog - hope to stop that today. Thanks for all the recommendations on other threads to increase the mgs of nicotine. I hope to lower my nicotine over time, but can definitely see myself doing this as a long-term thing. It feels really soothing - like self care of a sort.
