New member here, and I was compelled to sign up and say thanks!

I was considering getting a better e-cig than my current one I have (smart smoke from the local smoke shop), which always tasted like crap and had me go back to regular cigarettes several times. I did a little reading here and there and finally decided that the Redds kit from happy vapour was going to be the one I was gonna buy. I went over to the flea market where they set up shop and because of a jam I was in had my 2 little girls with me.

The guys helped me out and set me up with my kit, but I was a little stumped as to what flavours to start with. They asked if I wanted to try, but being with my girls, I didn't really want to vape in front of them so I declined.

There were 2 guys there at the time hanging out, and the first gentleman offered up a small bottle of his diy blend to try later (i guess my frustration of not being able to try and not knowing showed) and also a second gentleman did the same with a bottle of his turkish tobbaco. I have to thank both you guys for hooking me up! It was very generous of both of you!

Now of course I tried both flavours and I'm blown away by both. I'm loving the turkish blend, and that "twilight" mix by oliver is insane!! So here I am to say thanks, and learn a little..........

I'm gonna sidetrack this with a question.

I remember seeing an online shop that sold forumlations that were made by customers. It wasn't just DIY recipes, but pre-made liquid you could buy. I've been to so many sites I don't know which one it is. Does anyone know, because I'd like to go back there?

Welcome to the forum. One thing I've found in the vaping community is a sense of empathy and real desire to be helpful. ECF is kinda like a big family (~95k strong) including motherly sisters and teasing brothers (of course that occasionally reverses )

Well, I'm trying not to, as my kids are 2 and 6 and they won't understand the difference yet. My 6 year old is the one that pushed me into it. All they have to do is tilt their head and say "daddy" and I'm powerless .

Thanks for the greetings. I'm a little stumped as to the posting requirements. Tough group lol. Kinda difficult to come up with things to say when you're new and have no idea. Well I guess that's 2 already. I'm interested in that list in the Canadian section for vendors so I'll try and contribute as much as possible until I qualify.

Kinda difficult to come up with things to say when you're new and have no idea.

I'm just enjoying greeting people who are new here. I did the same on a forum about prescription drugs and it really makes the forums nicer and gets the people started posting so it can answer their questions. There it was more important due to it being about health, but here we still don't want someone wasting their money buying 510 look-alikes from DealXtreme that can't vape worth anything. Yeah, that's my first vaping experience and only after a month did I find this forum and realize that vaping didn't suck.

I really like this redds unit I have now though. I'm in love with the vapour it's producing, and it's keeping me from grabbing my cigs for the past 4 days. I think it was the right choice for me. The only problem I see so far is that it seems that I traded one addiction for another. I mean I can't stop vaping with this thing! I was hoping to try and vape on the same schedule and routine as I do with regular smokes, but I'm constantly at it. Maybe cause its a new experience and enjoying it so much. I'm sure I'll slow down eventually. Hehe

I coulda used mine as a teeny-weeny curling iron it got so hot. Well, not hot enough in the right place since it didn't vape worth crap.

Welcome to the ECF! Those little girls sure do convince their daddy's to do all sorts of things. We are in Iowa (snowy winters) and my 7 year old has had my husband shoveling the yard to resnow the hill for sledding as it melts since she was 3. Our neighbors must think he's crazy.

That's a good dad. They drive us nuts but yet we do anything for them.......
