Oh gosh, I'm drooling...
That sounds so delicious. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are my favorite holidays because of the food and being able to give.
I'm so hungry right now. lol.

Really near the mexican border.
Gotta be careful with those deep fryers though, I had a friend about 6 years ago that bought a turkey fryer, put it on their porch and got to frying. When they went to check it, the oil splattered on the porch and literally burned the house to the ground. Everything and everything burnt. They got all the kids and animals out, but every material posession they had was gone in about 10 minutes. Gone, Gone, Gone, on thanksgiving day. Just be careful, Please! Please everyone if you are fry those turkeys please be careful.....
I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving!

I stopped making turkey for Thanksgiving because none of us are all that crazy about it, so I have to say my garlic roasted shrimp put over wild rice. :)

Favorite memory? My ex and I were going to spend Thanksgiving at his brother's home in NYC, and before we went for dinner, we gathered up all the warm clothes we stopped wearing and found a homeless shelter to give them to.

the deep south
(yep.. I've had Turducken... living in the deep south.. how can you not?)

My favorite food is the stuffing my dad makes! I could eat JUST the stuffing. He makes a whole extra dish, just so I have lots n lots of leftovers... yum......... stuffing!

My favorite memories would be a toss up between going to my Grandmother's house, as a child. The family farm is in Virginia.. it was usually cold... my brother and I would trudge around the cold muddy woods in our boots.. looking for things to do.. adventures to make... then warming up by the fire.. building houses out of cards.. while the smells of dinner filled the whole house.

And as an adult.. making my own traditions with my lil family.. getting up early to wash the bird, and teaching my lil DD how to clean and pluck out the little bits left behind. She's got a quirky sense of humor and names the turkey every year. She has no problem eating "Bob" or "George" later on.. but it kinda wigs me out!

Oh my I'm drooling!Garlic shrimp over wild rice nummmy nummmy!!!!I got a repreive for cooking this year;my first ever not having to cook!My daughter (2nd oldest)is having me and my youngest son over and order me NOT to bring anything. Not sure how I'm going to like not cooking,LOL.I am already planning an after Thanksgiving meal though ;A dear lady I've recently become aquainted with has just found out her cancer has spread. She's been given 3 months to a year so her family will be here from Indiana to take her back there. My other daughter who knows her quite well wants to do a dinner for her whole family while they are here so I'll still get to do some Thanksgiving cooking anyway. This dear lady is 80 years young and we will miss her but are thankful to have the opportunity to meet her family and have a farewell gathering.

Somewhere in time.
Bacon wrapped scallops:) I make them for every thanksgiving since my sister-in-law cooks. I hate turkey, though......

Of course, this year, thanks to Wallyworld I get raviolis. They have me working 9 hour midshifts (11am-8pm) from the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to the Sunday after........it sux. I get the fun job of telling my girls Saturday, afraid to tell them sooner:( But at least they still get a good dinner, thanks to their aunt. So Thursday, when eating and giving thanks-please be thankful you get to spend it with your family-lord knows some of us don't.
