So made the switch from my Reo to a regulated mod again. Decided on the Wismec Predator and Elabo kit. Thinking I would like a tank again. Mod is fine, some things I don't like but that's irrelevant to the vape experience. The tank on the otherhand? Let's just say it makes me not want to use tanks again and switch back to RDAs. From leaking at the top fill area of the tank to the cheap flimsy drip tip breaking from a foot and a half fall from the couch on to the rug in the living room. 30 minutes later of tweezers and pliers I finally got the plastic bit out so I can actually put e-liquid in.

For those that don't know, the drip tip acted as a "locK" for the top fill. Pull the tip up and the top would slide open. So I had to remove it. This is NOT knocking the company, but I just wish the tank itself was a bit more durable. My dads Atlantis v1 has lasted 2 years or so for him and many many drops on concrete. Yet the Elabo can't handle a soft fall?

Needless to say, an RDA will be ordered tonight before I go to bed. I apologize for the rant, but I have no other vapers to actually vent to. To those that has stuck around to this point, has anyone used the Druga from Augvape? Looks promising but all the reviewers saying "Goon style drip tip" 20 times in every video about it is a bit annoying.

The mod/tank with a Loki Labs router drip tip because it's the only drip tip I have that would fit.

The drip tip and the little black piece that made me lose all patience trying to remove.

My drip tip didn't fit very tight and would always fall out but I couldn't put anything else on it.
I put a few wraps of dental floss around the tip the put the oring back worked for some of the tips that didn't quite fit snug. I'm not a fan of the wider bore driptips either but you have to use them cause the narrower tips just can't pull the vapor up fast enough to keep up with the coil in some low ohm builds.

Careful with using RDAs with the Predator. There have been a few reports of the 510 coming off because its press fit. I cant post a link because its on a site thats not allowed here but Im sure if you look around you can find what Im referencing.

I have a Predator in the mail, ordered before I found out about this issue. I use drippers exclusively and Im a bit concerned.

Wismec isn't exactly known for the quality of their tanks. I wouldn't judge all tanks on that experience as I'd toss the thing out too. If you like RDAs, then go with them. As @Darth Omerta already pointed out, it's possible to pull the whole 510 connector out when removing the RDA top. Wismec isn't exactly known for the quality of their 510's either.

Yes, what eskie said. If you want an rda experience with additional juice capacity try an rdta like the Aspire Quad Flex Survival Kit or Limitless Plus. For rtas I would look at the OBS Engines or Tornado Nano for the best flavor and durability. You'll get no recommendations from me on factory coil attys, haven't found one yet that produces rda flavor.

Man this has to be the worst kit I have ever seen.on Thursday I was at a b&m and a guy that just bought one came back 3 hours later because it went into stealth mode by itself and wouldn't come off. I then saw a post about the 510 pin just coming out of the mod. He took it apart and the insides were just crappy looking junk. Now this. If this doesn't scare somebody away from wismec I don't know what will. I know I won't give them another dime.

Seems like they're trying to make the Alien look more and more attractive. At least with the Alien if the paint craps out, you can always put a wrap on. The dying and falling apart thing is more of an issue to me than the quality of the finish.

I just wish Smok would get their act together on TC. That on the Alien and AL85 leaves a lot to be desired.

Yeah the alien does have some problems. All the paint wore off on mine. The TC is garbage on it but I don't really use it anyway. If I do want to TC I use my g2 wrecker, great chip on that. That said I love the feel of it and the trigger bar is great. I really dislike how wismec stole that.

Guess some people just haven't had any issues with it, I know some people who've had it running flawlessly for months! Lucky them.

Which, the Alien? Oh, it's running just fine. The finish shows no wear whatsoever. Same on its little brother. It would be nice if it did TC better, but that's not why I bought it. I wanted a small 2 battery setup I could take out and about. Same for the AL85. And they've been stellar for that.

The paint is fine on it, the silver one has held up great. The screen flickers though but that's the exact reason why I bought mine, a compact duel battery mod I could carry about with me. Since it's been in the shop I got an rx2/3, an I use it in duel battery config. That has ran fine an I've not had the 510 issues people seem to have with wismec
