I didn't like the satin silver either... Against my better judgement I took a dremel to the extension cap in an attempt to polish it up... So far so good... I plan to have a bare polished stainless steel ProVari by the end of the weekend... So far it looks awesome...

I am sure your husband would help you with a rba. You could start with one similar to the vivi nova and move up from there. You may want to try a glass tank with a carto.

I have owned 3 Provaris, all Black Satin...no matter how careful I was with them they all developed small scratchs over time.. Sold em all.
I just recived a new V2.5 in Satin Silver.......... its the best finish IMO...
P.S. If you didnt get the extention cap order one.. The standard cap has a sharp edge to it, where as the ext. caps edge is rounded.. feels much nicer in the hand...
You know I didn't check for the version, now I'm a little scared because I like the 2.5 better as well. All I saw before I had to acknowledge his ordering greatness was silver, not a mini, and red led. I guess if it's not it will be a good excuse to start a vanity collection of mini's for my bday/Christmas haha. Good looking out with the end cap, I'll get one if he didn't. If it doesn't make it super massive!
