 I tried saying that in the beginning too. ;) It didn't happen of course! So I just gave in b/c I wanted to try so many different flavours. Surprisingly, I still managed to not spend as much as I was with smoking cigarettes. Now that I have a good flavour profile and pretty much know what I like the ordering has tapered down. I'm now to the point of where I just check the site looking for the juices I want.

I'd say don't worry and run with it at first. Have fun as long as you can afford it. I definitely feel it was more than well worth it. :D

I know it's a good investment, so I'm not worried too much. Hell, I spent $300 on a hypnotist once to quit smoking! (It actually worked for about 2 years...) Not to mention the money I have forked out for other smoking cessation products that didn't work.

I think I have all the hardware I want to last me a while and the juice buying will settle down after the newness wears off.

So, not even counting the gazillion dollars I will save from not buying analogs, vaping has already saved me a bunch.

No more orders for a month! I've spent WAY too much on my vaping habit so far!

So I placed my last order for a while with V4L. :)

LOL...I swear I said this exact same thing to myself yesterday right after placing a $200 order with V4L. And then I got on the forum to relax and read some posts...

Someone in a post mentioned coconut. I realized, "I have none of that, and I'll bet my girlfriend would really like that." So this morning...there I was spending more money on some Coconut, Coconut Cream Pie, & Smilin Menthol cartos for the lil' lady.

I said to myself again, "That's IT! No more for at least a month."

And now I'm sitting here totally fighting the urge...as I keep thinking, "I'd really like a nice red auto batt...and I really should get a 2nd PT for upstairs."

The lil' lady says I need help. I think she may be right.

Ah well...it is better than spending all of my money on some of the things that are less important than vaping I guess...like food...shelter...heat...water...

I have finally settled on two or three flavors after testing dozens and dozens. Thought I would be slowing down on buying, but then there were the sales and the contest....so bought some more. Barring a major sale (buy one get one) or another contest, I should be good to go for several weeks now...have a good supply.

Now if the hats, shirts and other gear sudedenly become available...that is a different story. ;)

LOL! You write 'for a month' while I struggle with making it 'for a week'! But yeah, like others here, I look at the first months as an investment in life. Small change, really, if one considers the lifelong impact, eh?

I don't care if I end up spending more on vaping than I did on smoking! In the long run I will be saving on medical bills, those lottery tickets and snacks I used to purchase along with my smokes, and will live a longer, happier life!

My initial vaping investment has been more expensive than my smoking habit, but once I am able to narrow down my favorite battery and cart/juice flavors, I truly believe I will start seeing the savings. NM is looking at yet another cigarette tax. I paid 50 cents a pack at the age of 16 and have since forked over $6 a pack! I was also one who wasted a lot on cigs - lighting up, taking a few drags, and tossing the .... just to get that quick fix! I have spent a fortune on cigarettes over the past 32 years, along with another fortune on the patches, gum and medication that was supposed to help me quit. I have paid for at least one to two doctors visits each year for bronchitis, and have endured the emotional stress and fear of getting cancer or having a heart attack and dying prematurely because of my horrible addiction to cigarettes. I have experienced the guilt of how my addiction is negatively affecting the health of my family, and have lost a family member to lung cancer.

I'm rambling here, but have to add that over the past three or so years, I have been on a quest to improve my life and health. I already spend extra money on fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, and other healthy foods. I spend extra money on a gym membership and exercise classes, as well as the appropriate workout apparel and shoes. I spend money on books for those weekend escapes into fiction, a massage or pedicure now and then, and take my family out to dinner or treat us to those mini get-aways to battle the stress and high cortisol levels that our busy day-to-day lives contribute to. I forego the big house, nice clothes, and fancy vacations in my effort to take care of "me" and am so thankful that I can add V4L to the list of "must haves" for my quest to be healthy!

I became a mother for the first time at the age of 36 will be 50 years old in 16 months. My goal by then is to be a 0mg vaper! My beautiful daughter and wonderful husband deserve to have me around for a long time and I am on a mission to make that happen.

Hugs to all!

Yep, I went hog-wild these first few weeks into this, didn't realize how much until I made a spreadsheet to track expenses. Dang, that was a mistake! I had to adjust my signature to keep it and myself honest.

I did the same things years ago when I took up salt-water fishing...would wander around Academy picking up all the newest and coolest touts, jigs and spoons. Same thing with novels, hunting, gaming, golf, etc.

So, I see it as a healthy hobby that replaces a deadly old habit.
