I have a female friend who's a smoker, who's looking at getting into vaping because she saw how easy I quit, and how effortlessly I'm staying off cigarettes. But she keeps saying my vaping gear looks ungainly, and that she wouldn't want to own a mod like mine. To be honest, she's a classy girl who pays attention to that sort of thing, while I go for utilitarian.

But her b'day is coming up, and I figured I'd get her something that looks good. So I bought her a silver Ego C Twist battery with a Kanger mini Protank-2 clearo on top of it.

Well, hot damn that thing looks great! It's thin, it looks fantastic from top to bottom with it's all-silver look, clear glass tank without markings, and wick-less interior. It's slick, clean and somehow very "feminine" - that is, something that wouldn't look out of place in a sharp woman's purse.

The Ego battery is a no-frills thingy that has none of the advanced features I've come to love in my own gear - and I'm not all that fond of the special USB charger connector - but it vapes very nicely indeed. For 25 euros, it's as good as disposable, yet it looks a lot more expensive.

So, for the looks and for a grand total of 46 euros with a charger, I reckon it'll make an excellent gift. Only thing is, I want one for myself now, because it really really looks nice :)

There is no better gift than the gift of health. Well done.

Aah, the joy of giving... My friend is now sucking on her mod like a calf on a teat, and - as I expected - she hasn't smoked a single cigarette since she started vaping. Like me, she quit smoking, just like that.

This morning she told me what a treat it had been yesterday evening to go back home without the stink of cigarette smoke on her clothes and in her hair, and without feeling guilty for picking up her daughter at kindergarten smelling of cold tobacco. And she thanked me because she said she had thought about switching, but wouldn't have done it without a little prodding.

I'm mighty proud of myself here :)
