That's what I get for thinking I know what I'm doing

Thank you for all of your help and advice. This forum is full of information. In the two weeks since I started, I've been able to learn so much from all the existing threads here. In fact, I got so confident that I decided to order some blank cartomizers and juice and begin doing my own filling. After studying up around here, I found a reliable vendor and made sure that everything would match my KR808D1 batteries. To get ahead of the game, I even ordered a couple of back up batteries from a third vendor so that I could get a feel for what companies I liked to deal with.

My order arrived today and I filled all the cartomizers with juice - yay for me! I screwed it into my battery and...nothing. No juice, no vapor, no nothing. I screwed in one of my old cartomizers and it worked perfectly. I compared the two and they're different - the holes in the new ones are much smaller than on my battery.

Here's what I've got:
LeCig D1 Batteries & cartomizers - they work fine together (this was my starter kit)

LiteCigUSA cartomizers for the KR808D1 - these don't match the LeCig batteries...

On order - Kr808D1 batteries from GoodProphet

Now, I suspect that the not yet delivered GoodProphet batteries will work with these new cartomizers, but I'm not certain about that. Somehow, I'll be able to mix & match and use up these supplies just fine. My real question is, what of the above is the odd man out? In the future, I want to make sure that I'm buying compatible equipment - should I stick with one vendor? Is my LeCig not a Kr808 at all? Did LiteCig send me the wrong cartos?

See? Another idiotic question - just to keep you all in practice. lol

Hopefully the GoodProphet batterys will match up with the Litecig cartoz.
Without looking at it, the Lecig is most likely the problem. The 808D1 is a 9.2mm mini.
The KR808 is, I would guess, larger.

If it makes you feel better, alot of us started out in the same boat with these branded kits. Minor setback, keep on moving forward.

That's my thought, too. If that's the case, I can figure out how to use it all up. If the GoodProphet batteries are different, too - then I'm in trouble! I'll have more "backup" kits than real ones. lol

I did the same thing! First i started with the GreenSmoke. Good cig but not for me. Then a week later i decided i wanted to LeCig - good company, great customer service, good prices, free shipping - the works. I got their 1 battery starter kit for the KR808-D1. Then i decided that I was going to be a spoiled brat and go ahead and try VaporKing from Vapor4Life... OMG BECKY!!!! this website is my new small obsession! Anyway, i was rather disappointed to see that LeCig and V4L batteries are not the same although they are the same - that makes sense i promise! One is the older version with bar on the battery contact and the other has full contact.
Anyway, after speaking with LeCig (because they did advertise that their battery was fully compatible with the vaporking) they adjusted their website literally within 5 mins of speaking with me to say the correct compatibility to units and sent me another battery because i was having issues with the one i had received.

Anyway, if you're not that tight on cash you may want to keep more than one brand - just to switch it up! I love my V4L vaporking and i plan on keeping my LeCig. I am however sending the GreenSmoke back... THAT was too expensive as just a back-up... who am i kidding, that was just plain expensive!

My whole point to this entire rant, was that most of us have done the same thing! Ok, granted this is like my 2-3 week of vaping, but that's not the point! Good Luck with whatever product you decide to go with, you're going to love vaping!

I'm so relieved...I think it will work. You know, even with all my mismatched purchases, I still haven't spent more than I'd spend in three weeks of smoking, so it's all good!

Give it time, it won't be long before you have a drawer full of stuff.:laugh:

hang on to every thing for the projects coming down the road.:D

I received my GoodProphet batteries today and not only does this make perfect sense, but you were absolutely right, so thank you! These batteries (for whatever reason) take both the carto sizes, so I'm all set now. I suppose it's like any other piece of technology/software - when there's an upgrade, it will still accept the older technology. I'll just have the LeCig ones as my backup, since the "new" cartos won't quite fit.

Happily vaping on my cool new black batteries and new flavors as I type....yay!

Reading these posts makes me feel so much better... I see that I'm not alone. I am obsessed with all the different products out there in e cig world. And although I'm only 3 weeks old, I now have two different manual mods on order. Started out like most with the ecig starter kits. Now i'm ordering stainless steel this, and anodized that... When will this become less expensive than smoking? lol

I wish I could say it gets better, but I swear I'm more addicted to buying ecig models and components than I am to nicotine. I usually stay within a budget that is about half of what I spent on cigs, but I still can't figure out why I'm browsing websites when there are about a dozen different vaporizers and enough juice to last a year laying around. And this is a pretty lame inventory compared to some!
