I've been a smoker for the past 10 years. On an impulse I picked up an E9 starter kit from eSmoke.net (I got ripped off, I know, I'm over it) and have been vaping for the past two weeks. All I can say is that I am totally and completely 100% impressed. vaping really works! I haven't smoked an analog cigarette since I started using the E9s and the best part is that I haven't had a single craving.

I have tried many time in the past to quit smoking and the hardest part was always when on breaks at work or out with friends and everyone would step outside to have a cigarette. I was always able to hold out for a few days, but invariably I would eventually cave and bum a smoke. But now I just join them outside and vape while they are smoking.

Several of my friend are very interested and I think they might try taking up vaping too! This really is almost too good to be true. Amazing stuff ...

I've already decided to ditch the E9s and get myself a proper KR808D1 kit. I'll probably give the E9s to one of my friends that's interested in trying vaping. I guess I'm looking for advice and opinions on the KR808D1 kit that I have picked out. I know it's a little overboard, but I already spend way too much on smoking ($12 a pack here in NYC), so the up front cost is totally within my budget.

This is what I'm currently looking at ...

3x 280mah KR808D1 batteries auto
3x 280mah KR808D1 batteries manual (necessary for vaping outside in the cold)
5x 5 pack of blank KR8080D1 cartomizers

1x LeCig PigCig - 2 battery starter kit
5x LeCig 5 pack of blank mega cartomizers
2x LeCig D1 > D2 adapter (so I can use my remaining E9 carts)

2x Nhaler KR808D1/901 > 510 adapter
2x Joye Tech Mega Atomizer
1x 5 pack of Joye Tech Mega Cartriges
2x 901 Atomizer
2x Nhaler Drip-O-Mizer

2x Super-T T-Tip shorty delrin
1x Super-T T-Tip shorty stainless

?x Vapor4Life Wow Juice

Can anyone suggest a nice cigarette pack style PCC that I can use with KR808D1s? I would prefer something like the pack that I got with my eSmoke E9s - holds 3 carts, 1 assembled ecig, 1 charging battery. eSmoke Sensation PCC

I also prefer red leds on the end of my batteries, but most vendors seem to only offer blue leds, any suggestions?

Thanks and sorry for the long post. :)

If you have the money, you should jump right to a mod. If you look in the suppliers forum section here, you'll find many different juice box mods. I new supplier has a GREAT sale on his wooden juice box for $90:

I already have a Phidias (you can search for that here too) and I'm going to give one of these a try. I have a few other "regular" ecig devices and they all pretty much collect dust now. LOL The wooder man mod looks fantastic, I have one coming to supplement the Phidias. With these "home made" mods you get vape heavily for 24 hours on a single bottle fill and charge. My brother is able to go a full 5 days, but he is a light vaper. If you go go with a mod, you can order the 18650 batteries and charger cheaply from DealExtreme: Cool Gadgets at the Right Price - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX. It's a chinese company so shipping takes 2-6 weeks, but the products are great.

Good Luck!

I've never used a KR808 either, but a very large number of people in here have, continue to and swear by them. Presumably there's a reason for that.

A lot of those same people swear by Good Prophets, where you can get a PCC: KR-808d-1 PCC - Personal Charging Case - Limited Quantities!. Their 5%-off discount code (hey, it's better than nothing) is: TVCfriend

Welcome to the ECF. Was just wondering if you were dead set on a KR808 kit or were you just thinking about that one? Just saying because there are alot of nicely priced eGo and Riva kits out there and with that KR808 kit and the low mah batts you won't be able to try any low resistance stuff. Low resistance attys and carto's are very nice and give you a better (MORE) and warmer vapor production. They are designed to simulate 5v vaping using a normal 3.7 volts but not recommended for smaller mah batts. Anyway hope you like whatever you decide on. Happy Vaping!!

I like the KR808D-1, also just got a pigcig for longer batt life but still uses the 808 carts. I really love my pigcig and plan on buying another. In fact, I'd recommend buying them as opposed to the manual KR808's you have listed - I only have to charge mine once every 24hrs.

The only thing I'd switch is the juice choice, I've used V4L's juices since I started vaping and just recently tried other places like tastyvapor, vaporbomb, and juicyvapor beat v4l's juice hands down in my opinion.

I just put my order in today. I think he is calling it the Monkey Box. I started a new thread with a few questions in this forum if you wouldn't mine answering them for me. Thanks

Thanks for the quick replies, this forum really is a great asset. A huge thanks to all the members and all the mods. :toast:

I am pretty set on the KR808D1s, I like the portability of the E9/KR808D2 that I currently have, but I want the more common threading of the D1s. From what I have read the KR808D batteries are the current top dogs when it comes to max volts and mah in a mini electronic cigarette format. Plus I plan on using them with the Nhaler adapters, so I can also try my hand at dripping on 510 and 901 attys.

As far as low ohm attys go, the LeCig PigCig is a 650 mah battery, so eventually I'll probably dabble with the simulated higher volt vaping.

I also had a good look at the Phidias on Nhaler's site and I love it, but it's a month or two away right now. I want to get the basics down first and then go for the custom stuff. I also absolutely love the wood work, great stuff!

Thanks for all the tips on juice sites and places to find a PCC. I still think I'm going to hold out for the PCC that I really want. It's really too bad that the PCC I have is threaded for E9s, it's a great piece of kit.

I'm a KR808D-1 user - and was easily able to kick the habit. My wife also - but not until after I caught a thread from Leaford on youtube regarding substantial improvements to the KR808D-1 line called MaxX Fusion. Once this arrived in the mail, my wife loved this so much, she made the switch. Check out some of my other thread in the e-cigarette reivews section found on the ECF forum. The only distributor selling the new 808 tech that I know of at this point is Electronic Cigarettes By Bloog.

I have a pcc from Vapor 4 Life..it's not a cigarette pack style but it is good. I suggest you check it out. It had a hard case that won't fall apart and holds a good long charge. I am very pleased with mine. Hubby carries his in a pocket. When you are not charging you can use it to hold a spare battery and 2 extra cartos.

Welcome to vaping!!! it truly is amazing. I've been off analogs for 11 days now after buying my first "Elektro" from a local Kwik-E-Mart. 3 days later I upgraded to a Joye 510 and yesterday ordered a Joye eGo ( I might need an intervention, as I'm addicted to ordering gear)
Anyway the experience has been great and I feel so much better. There is much info to be gleaned from this great forum....Have fun and be well......the single most healthy thing you can do is to quit smoking....CONGRATS!!!!

...now I'm going to try and work on making vaping cheaper than analogs - shouldn't be hard.

Don't kid yourself, Maurice. It can be done, of course, but it's a lot easier on paper than it proves in reality.

Smoking isn't a passion; it's just something you do—hence you can estimate the number you'll consume, factor in the known cost per pack and you're done. The numbers hold (presuming the State of New York doesn't get into additional, unanticipated taxation mischief).

Not necessarily so with vaping, this; it gets under your skin, into your mind and plays havoc with your self-control. Very soon you'll find yourself wanting to try every liquid formulation, every PV type, every gadget that's been created to date—and tomorrow, someone will have yet another idea.

Check out my banner. The numbers are valid until you get to the $X,XXX.XX saved vaping part, where it proceeds to lie, lie, lie...
