In management, you learn the 80/20 rule quickly. 20% of the people that work for you cause 80% of the problems.

In my (admittedly cynical) old age I've also decided that 80% of the population is also not very smart. I think most people would at least somewhat agree with this. Of course everyone also thinks the're in the intelligent 20%, myself included. We can't all be correct and I just might be one of the duh dudes.

As I read the DIY e-liquid forum, it seems every question has every conceivable answer. Every conceivable answer can't be correct. My advise to someone wondering what answer to listen to? Hellifiknow. I have learned one thing, there are several no kiddin' guru's around here. I have my top 3 or so I've found and listen to, figure out who they are and listen to their answers. :)

If you're looking for The Truth, PM me. I can send you a copy of it for only $100 US, pre-paid ;-)

ECF provides a wealth of experience, opinions, information, mis-information, and a few outright shills.

But in something as variable as DIY, there IS no truth. Different people taste differently, have tried different things, want a different end-result to use on different equipment, etc. etc. etc.

Almost every single answer IS the correct answer, but you have to figure out what question it's the answer to. Most of the time it's not the question you were looking for.

Still fun to read, though!

Lol Ron! Did you resign or driven out for giving wrong answers?

I joined thinking membership would look good on my resume.

I quit after a few years because the total (National & Local) annual membership fee was around 70 bucks.

I can buy a lot of DIY ingredients for 70 bucks! :)

I still get offers from them to rejoin...(by paying an annual membership fee)

Mongo like can-dee!

Funnier because I also go by the handle "gurpguru" on some sites. +5 internet points to anyone who can guess what I actually consider myself a guru on. (it has nothing to do with vaping in any way, shape, or form because I still believe im just guessing and playing around when I'm mixing juice and far from a guru)

I can't award points for the select few ECF members who also know me by that handle because that would be like insider trading.

Gonna go with roleplaying and or DnD

Sure there are the intelligent and the unintelligent, but just because someone is intelligent doesn't mean they are right or wrong about any given thing. Like OP said, finding people who's opinion you can tend to agree with is good, but finding the people you often disagree with can be useful too, especially when you end up agreeing with them.

I disagree.
Sorry that I misinterpreted you, thank you for being lucid in your response.

Disagreement is the best part of this sub.

The vast majority of threads with disagreeing posters in this sub are very friendly and courteous. Seldom do the waffles and pancakes have to be brought in to distract angry posters.

That is a rare thing on the internets.

I disagree with posts fairly often, but I'm a disagreeable sort and still think this is the best sub in ECF.

And one answer had half of my guru-ness figured out.
