I would like to know also. I have looked around a bit and took some measurements, and if I had to guess, I would say 8mm x 0.75 pitch.

The batteries that I have measured came out to be about 7.8mm in diameter, which would be on the low end of the spec for an 8mm thread. But it makes sense if that was being run on a new die, since as the die wears, the diameter will get bigger. Basically the ones I have measured have been at minimum material condition for an 8mm thread.

The pitch looks like 0.8mm when I measure, so it would probably be closer to 32 per inch than 24.

To tell you the truth, I have been stuck in metric and I have seen references to 8 x 0.75, but nothing is readily available. Maybe a 5/16 x 32 would work.

Well then, sicne you brought it up, you're gonna be the brave one to swipe a whole bunch of those for the Mod Squad here on the forum.:)

Hope you don't get fired! and thanks!:D

I work in the telecom industry and we use a fiber connector that is call an FC type connector. I tried my attomizer on this connector and it is a perfect fit, from the spec sheet the thread size is........M8x 0.75 (METRIC)
This is an EXACT fit!

The threads on the tire valve are not a perfect fit, but the RF N-type connectors from Radio Shack are.

"N" connectors are freaking huge compared to my PVs. It has to be something else, do you have a stock number for it?

I use "N" connectors on my UHF radio gear and my PVs might fit inside it :).

Inquiring minds want to know (and if they fit I want SEVERAL :).

One of madog's posts showed a picture of a Napa Industrial Tank Valve (part 90-294), that is 1/8 inch MNPT. MNPT = Male National Pipe Thread - a tapered thread, for what it's worth.

The N-connector thread is .625-24 UNEF-2A (aka 5/8 inch-24). UNEF = Unified Extra Fine thread standard. The 2A is the tolerance class - A for external thread. 2 is the most common, 1 loose fitting thread for ease of assembly or use in a dirty environment, 3 the tightest tolerance.

It's all here in these easy to read phamplets ;)

All that being said, I still can't find the exact threads used on these things referenced anywhere.

I tried to solder to it and I couldnt get to take. I think its nickle plated

Tone, did you have any luck sanding off the plating then soldering? If you did, where can we get these?

You have tested these for sure, right? How is the fit? Does the atomizer screw on fully?

From this thread posted above:

REQUEST: 901 battery to LTv9 cartridge adaptor?

I don't think they are non-standard threads , just typical chinese factory shoddy standard threads.
I've not pitched any but they just look like shoddy standard threads, and i can't see these far eastern factories paying out for specialist taps and tooling It doesnt make sense and it's bloody expensive.

These FC type connectors appear to be made in China. ApOsTle may be right.

If the connector is aluminum, a wire could be fed through a drill hole and soldered in a loop to make contact.
