First off all im really excited to try out Grants Vanilla Custard since I've gotten into Vanilla Custard after trying CLS and other various VC eliquids. Im looking for a build that will accomodate GVC so I can taste every drop of that eliquid that everyone raves about. Im pretty dang excited. So far ive tried 24G 5 Wrap Nichrome, 24G 6 & 7 Wrap Nichrome and 22G 5 Wrap Nichrome. So far its been 24G 5 Wrap thats been more flavorful. Do note, I am vaping on a Sigelei 150W @ 75 Watts on a Royal Hunter RDA.

I'm boring, though, and make 26g micro coils.

I do the same. dual coil, 26 gauge wrapped around a 1mm drill bit 12 times. Comes out to between 0.3 and 0.4 ohms. Put it on a little cloud of japanese cotton and vape away at 40-45 watts. Decent amount of vapor, and a lot of flavor. I use an Igo-W plus with the air holes drilled out to 3mm.

Do you guys suggest building with 26g on a smaller drill bit? Or 24g on a smaller drill bit. How many wraps as well? Also ive heard *clapton is good for flavor as well.

Steam Engine | free vaping calculators is a godsend for estimating resistances. Experiment and see what you like.

Personally, I prefer 26g dual coils. 2.5mm inner diameter, 5 wraps per coil. My resistance comes out to .34 ohms and I vape that at ~65 watts. Flavor is good but its made for balance between flavor and vapor.

Depending on what resistances are safe on your device/battery, I would try both of them. It doesnt take that long to make basic coils. For a while, I was probably making 6-10 coils a day just trying to find out what i liked the most. At the end of the day, 26 gauge around a 1mm drill bit was my favorite.

You are using nichrome, though. I have only used kanthal, so that may have some effect.

I sorta like coil IDs from 2 to 3 mm, but that's me. As to wraps, when I go dual coil, I usually shoot for 0.3 (My personal bottom end) to 0.5 ohms on mechs, and I usually run around an ohm with regulated mods. Bigger ID makes it easier to bring up the resistance, and I think that having more wick (and hand in hand with that, more e-liquid) in the coil area helps bring out the flavor.

Yeah what everyone seems to say is that the more surface area the better. Even from RiP Tippers videos as well. I guess ill go 26g 8 wraps kanthal. What do you guys think about that? Or even his dual parallal 24g build which was pretty nice!

I think you should experiment and find what you like.
