Hey ECF, I've been using a provari and igo-l for a while now but I'm looking to get a mech mod to do some sub ohm coils. Money is no issue, I want a mod that looks great, has great build quality, has very little voltage drop, has a good firing button, etc... Basically the best there is. I've been looking into the poldiac a lot, as well as the qzi megatron, nzonic iv, mortar v5, sentinel, GG, etc... Any suggestions?

the megatron button will throw some people off as it seems a little wonky at first compared to some of the compact and sleek kits today. but it doesnt bother me and it is the hardest hitting hybrid I have ever used (i have the hybrid geni for it) and it is like a lead pipe, there is no foil thin tubes here.

you can easily kill someone with this thing lol

I have the sand finish and i like it a lot!! ( i do suggest getting it as a hybrid kit it will come with the 510 head as well) I am waiting on a versa hybrid dripper for it as I have been led to believe it is the same threading.

right at the 1 minute mark is all that needs to be said about this setup.

as for just mechanicals I have the poldiac and roller and I love them for the build quality and they hit great..

Things I would like:

Accommodates slightly different battery lengths with minimal fiddling.
Easy to flush fit various RBAs.
Does not come undone when lock/unlock switch.
One tube for batt instead of telescopic or multiple rings.
Switch has insulator and does not rely on battery bottom shrink wrap for insulation.
Switch throw adjustable.
Magnet switch upgrade possible.
Smooth switch actuation.
Has vent holes in both ends; should be able to breath through mod regardless of switch position.
Minimal machining marks.
Standing mod does not rely on switch spring to prevent firing.

All very reasonable expectations, but as to the portion I highlighted, there are many mechs out there that can be purchased in 18xxx configuration - or are you asking for one that comes with a one-size-fits-all tube and a 30mm spring?

Although I use hot spring mod for safer testing of new coil builds, I don't like undersized hot springs for performance coils.

Since mods are like potato chips, can't have just one, my preference is to pick mod to accommodate only one batt size.

One mod for 18350 and one mod for 18650; that's my preference if money isn't an issue.

That being said, I have a couple Nemesis clones on the way that don't meet all my wishes but hopefully close enough.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but so far none of them are appealing to me. At the moment I'm looking at mods on shopmvg.com, i'm eyeing the private v2 and nzonic v4. Both look great, look very durable and high quality, and have silver plated copper contact pins which theoretically should be the most conductive setup possible (other than pure silver). Does anyone have any comments on those two mods?

One of these mods may be to your liking. They are the XXIX(copper) the SS Surfrider and the brass Surfrider, made by Bay City Vapors(USA). Even though different different names and material, they are all made the same way.

They meet the highlighted note you have above.

The mod is 22mm so all 22mm toppers will fit flush, and when I say flush, I mean flush.

They also have the lowest tested Voltage Drop of any mod, using the same materials. The Copper XXIX has 0 voltage drop.

Here are pictures of my Surfriders.
