I hate to admit it but I've been using another mod more and more .....

For one reason ..... Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers ..... at 5v-ish (VV Mod)

I was cruising COV the other day and I see a smok XXXL 510 carto listed.
It looks just like the the EMDCC except with just a 510 connection out the bottom.
No shroud to replace the ego cone on it.

So I order one up, slap it on my new woodvil ..... Just fits inside the catch cup :)
Pop in the 5v batt and vape away in bliss.

Yep its exactly the same as the eGo specific version ... same great draw
Same 3.5ml capacity ... most importantly same amazing flavor.
(Takes the eGo mega type B drip tips too)

Darn good at 3.7 but when you put some more power to it .... Amazing.

I never like standard dual coils because I always got a funny taste and the draw is super stiff.

The looks and feel take some getting used too. Almost knocked a tooth out a few times :)

Here it is on my Cocobolo Woodvil with eGo mega drip tip type B

Does your Reo feed that okay? I have a couple of them also and run them at 5V myself on other mods. I wish other vendors would get them also. Bruce seems a tad high on them but I had to give them a try.

Been feeding it just fine :) Ya, I wish I could get them for 2.50 a pop at madvapes like the EMDCC

Gonna have to do some searching around .... I wan't more !!

Tim if you dont like that giant opening on that drip tip, (it might look funny) but a regular drip tip will snap into the top of that.

Not in mine it won't ... Mine is a delrin drip tip I purchased separately. It has a tapered hold just like a reg 510 DT.
I do know that a reg fits in the honking huge rubber one that comes on them :)

Thanks.

I found out one more interesting thing.

Not all woodvil catch cups are created equal :)

That honking bad boy (the "big hitter") only fits in my newest woodvil. The ID is .580
The catch cups on all my other measure .550 - .552

A Grand is around .590

The carto itself has an OD of .550

So I guess I will have to reserve these for that one special woodvil and my grand.

I would like to request that my catch cup be at least .570 on my VV Woodvil Rob :D
These babies are just right for vari-volt.

I knew you'd be all over it Rob :)

Really .... catch cups in house now too. Do you spend your days looking for more work to do ?? :D

I once spent 3 months at a lathe all day 6 or 7 days a week.
I turned over 30,000 parts that I was too cheap to source out.
That was in the early days of my business I was only 16 and stubborn as heck.

I remember I had to really hustle to make 80 bucks an hour (pretty good for a kid in 1984)
I also remember veging out some times and it probably dropped to 20 bucks an hour :(

Machine shops get greedy and I needed a lath not to mention I like being in control if I want to make a change I can do it.I found many uses for the lath was a smart decision I am glad I got it. $80 & hour at 16 lol I was making $4 & hour at 16 doing demolition and washing dishes nights at the beach

I don't know how you do it all Rob. It seems like you have too many pokers in the fire and still have time to keep tabs on this forum. When my wife and I started the business, I use to put in 60 to 70 hours a week, for maybe the first 5 years. I'd go home for dinner and go back to work till 2:00am. A guy once told me that either I had too much to do or I didn't know what I was doing ... perhaps some of both. However, when someone likes the work they do, it's not really work anymore, it's pleasure and rewarding. Keeping as much work as possible in-house is good business, which means more control, but may eventually become overwhelming. Go get 'em, Tiger. Can't wait for the Grand VV, but I rarely buy the first edition. I like to wait for the bugs to get out, if any.
