Ahhhh if it were that easy to see the "free" side of it......I did get a 240ml bottle of root beer jooze from a manufacturer because I got a bottle of sickening flavor of blueberry and complained to the company (only 30 miles from me) and that was "free". except it was so chemical tasting it was like getting a BIG bottle of the crap I complained about originally

mod wise was doing good until I got a bonus and then Friday I bought a $315 starter kit (Provari).....that blew all the savings or "free" stuff for a while....doh

Save money, ha! According to the app I have, I will not break even till April. It's my own fault and I'm not complaining. I keep buying more stuff. I started with an ego starter kit, then moved on to a lavatube starter kit, I have now moved on to an inexpensive mech mod. I have also invested in a diy e juice set up, tool boxes and volt meters and screw drivers, the list goes on and on lol. I really want a dna20 mod next. I did get a free x1 rda when I bought my mech and some batteries. A free juice here and there, like I said, I'm not complaining, I jumped in with both feet.

Where does one get a diy e juice setup? Is this like an all in one "starter kit" for juice making? I want one.

When I read free stuff, I thought you were talking about stuff like toy soldiers and candy that some vendors send out with their orders.

I use the "Vape" app on my Android to keep track of my expenses, and according to it, my "break even" date (assuming I spend NOTHING on vaping) will be September of this year.

And I haven't updated my expenses in two weeks...

It is much easier to get into profit in Aust where my brand is now selling at $18.50 for a pack of 20. At the rate the government is gathering taxes, I can't see how they would be at all pleased to see people converting to vaping.

Between my wife and I we are saving $37 per day. I admit to having gone a little crazy with my purchases but thoroughly enjoying the vaping experience and all the fun that goes with it. My office now looks like a mini laboratory with bottles of flavour concentrates, PG, VG, diluted nicotine everywhere, not to mention all my attempts at DIYing. I still don't bother with trying to re-coil a clearo but will occasionally replace the 'flavour wicks' and dry burn. Have enough personal stock to last a very, very long time, including replacement hardware.

This is a good way to look at things. I was just talking to hubby on the way into work this morning and together we are in the black $60 over the past month. Which he promptly responded: "And shoot we are still broke, imagine how screwed we would be if we were still buying cigarettes." Now granted we started this to get rid of the morning lung hack and save money so that has been #1 goal, but we have succeeded!!!!!!!!! :rickroll::banana:

I used to roll my own cigarettes, which would equate to about 60-70 cents per pack (20 cigs). With that being said, I knew it would take a serious amount of money pinching if I was ever worried about saving more money. However I am starting DIY eliquid, just waiting for WL to ship my order, so I should save more money there.

The most expensive part of vaping is the startup. I found, when I started, that the most expensive part of vaping at first was finding your ADV(all day vape) or your 'main' eliquid. After that you basically are just buying mods that generally do the same thing and the expensive part after finding a good vape and getting a decent pv is your tanks/attys/cartos ect.

Another great way to get really FREE stuff is from all of the Contests the vendors hold here!! :D

You can find the current ones in this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/105214-contests-330.html#post11781712

Aside from all of the $$ I have saved during the 3+ yrs. since I started vaping, I have won a lot of my gear in these contests... even starting off the New Year with 2 $25 gift certificates!!

You can also find out who is having Sales (or even giving away FREE stuff) here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals-88.html

Best of Luck to Everyone, and keep up the Good Work!! :thumb:

(and don't worry about finding your ADV... I still don't have one!! LOL)

It gets cheaper once you decide to check out whatever you are planning to buy before plunking down the money. Read the reviews and decide if it's for you before comitting to buy.

I've wasted more money on juice that other people love than I have on hardware. If there's anything I've learned here, it's that tastes are subjective. What you like may taste terrible to me.

this is certainly true! i wasn't a fan of my first juice order, 2nd was ok and the 3rd i decided to just order sample sizes and i got crazy lucky finding a flavor i absolutely love.

I picked up a ego twist starter kit, and have stuck to just using that..I am saving about 300 a month, and actually putting that money away in a special "treat" account. I am an archery addict, so I am saving to improve my target set up for competitions. It isn't the money for me though..I just love that I can taste, and smell things so much better..I can breathe easier..and my cholesterol went from borderline dangerous to perfectly normal in just 3 short months. To me..that is invaluable! I am saving my life..thats what counts the most.
