From what I hear the big dripper is a warmer vape and is closer to a dripper in terms of vapor production and airflow than the Pontus.

But for me... I like a tighter draw and I also like the idea of the original, so unless I see something really game changing in this thread I'm leaning towards the Pontus.

Thank's for the link. I may be changing my mind about the pontus? It sounds like the BD is the way to go. I'm not sold yet though.

FWIW, I had planned on ordering one or the other today contingent upon reading up on them both.

I just bought the BD clone on Ebay. I may still get the Pontus since I'm kind of on a rda kick lately. The BD clone is a lot cheaper from some of the China based vendors but patience isn't my strong suit. I want it this week... not three weeks from now.

i got my big dripper on monday after a 2 week waiting period (luckily i had my other rda) but i noticed its a real cool vape on my current build and the flavor is spot on. i have it built with a 4 strand twisted 28g 6 wrap at .34 with rayon sitting on my nemesis and vaping on the phillip rocke and i cant believe how smooth and cool its vaping. so far very pleased. i first built it with a 22g 8 wrap and wasnt happy with the performance, heat and flavor were inconsistent. building it isnt very hard if you know what your doing but for anyone new to the game it would be tricky with the height of the deck walls are to the post.

So far the only thing I hate is the dirty fill. Gonna tap a fill screw on the top in the next few days then it should be fine. Great piece of hardware.

Have both. Neither. Pontus doesn't have a ton of flavor, and while I like the Big Dripper better, the O-rings it came with don't seal tight enough and it just autofed all day and leaked everywhere. Good vape though. The Pontus needs to be running like 40+ watts to be any good for me. The plunger sticks on mine too.

It's an awesome theory, and we need someone to develop a high end, that is of small stature. What really needs to happen, is something with this design needs a really small, reduced chamber down below, and utilize the extra space because of the small chamber for higher juice capacity, therefore making it shorter
