Use a toothpick with some of the tip cut off to polish and clean out the track. The problem with aluminum is that when it oxidizes if forms aluminum oxide which is just below diamond on the hardness scale... You need to polish off this layer of oxidation to make the track smooth again, and a paper towel just won't do the job. When you're done cleaning the tracks, apply some oil and it should be smooth again.

Should I apply some abrasive to the toothpick, or is the plain wood enough?

Hmm, I had that issue. I had to lube up the ball itself, the track and the socket, and wipe down the edges of the door and the "track" that the door slides into as well. for that one, I took a little bit of a paper towel and formed a point with it and stuck it in there. ALOT of black residue came off. After that I used some more silicon lubricant that I use for airsoft guns and it was back to normal after opening it a couple of times.
Thanks for this advice. I have started having the same thing happen with mine. I figured it just needed a good cleaning and lubrication, but wasn't sure how to go about it.

just the wood with a lil olive oil, you just need to get all the black aluminum oxide out. after a good rubbing, clean with a paper towel, and re oil with a very little bit of olive oil....extra virgin tastes better....:)

I use 5w30 synthetic. Had some leftover from an oil change.

I use either a plain toothpick or a Qtip with a little alcohol on it, just something soft to remove the black residue. Don't forget to wipe a clean cloth or paper towel over the ball. Then add a little of your lube of choice. :)

I wipe mine down whenever I notice the black stuff in there.

Hey all! I ok some new developments on my Raven experiences. Filled up my tank with a more vg blend today and still no leaking. BUT.... Tons of dry hits and when it's not a dry hit it gurgle and I get a pathetic vape. Also noticed the taste was awful and burnt but that might have been me charing the wick trying to use all the juice in my last tank before a refill. So far tho TBH I am not really impressed witht them. I don't notice a crazy flavor boost. Tho when it is working I do notice more vapor. So far it's a 50/50 for me. I know I have said this before but I wish they made Stallions in a regular size. Best flavor and vapor producing carto I have ever used.

Oh and has anyone used the EVOD molded carto yet? That looked so promising.
