nice, yea the Carbon Fiber wraps are available and the clear ones will be up on the website on monday... I love the original black ones that come with it so I may just pick up the clear ones.. im gonna wait until I receive the BB first though.. its a work of art the way it is..
I don't have much expeience with cartos but reading this thread should give you ideas on whats been tried. I have one on order for June too and been reading up on what has worked for most people. Looks like a lot of it is just a good carto to begin with and trying different holes and slots to get your juice to wick right.
Well, then. First proper cleaning done. Q-tips and isopropanol for the most part. Little bit of Otis gun cleaning stuff on the edges of the door and the center ball. Slicker than it was, but not quite the day-1 smoothness. Might stick a little Tetra grease on the moving bits. I figure if it's good enough for aluminum slide rails flying back and forth at extreme speeds it should work for this.
Any tips for when I get brave enough to take the screws out for a more thorough cleaning of that center bearing? Do things go flying? I never did find that microscopic spring in the mag disconnect on the Walther bullpup...

Nice! I was not sure how much of the filler was showing without a magnifying glass for these old eyes, but this came out pretty nice! Works great so far. I just changed out an older carto I was using that I honestly did not need to so I stored it for future emergency use . But when filling back up my tank I though it would give it a try. Thanks for the guidance in the thin cut and horizontal slice . I have no idea if the horizontal slice makes a difference but so far I like it.

I was chain vaping and when I took the drip tip off to change it I noticed the carto filler looked dry so I punched a hole near the bottom and one at the top as well as having the slot, (just playing around) in the mean time I did not realize I was tilting the tank while I had the carto half out and lost a half a tank of juice....

Anyway I out it back together, Then I noticed some flooding I took the brass connector off and took the tank out and wiped it down, put it back on and put the brass connection back on and good to go, no more flooding. If the brass connection is screwed on too tight how does that impact it? I read somewhere not to screw it on too tight as it could cause flooding....or did I dream it Wow I would have though that one good size slit would have been enough. I typically use three holes. Two at the bottom and one past halfway near the top with good success with 50/50 juice. If I have to punch as well as slot I might stick to the punching.
Next time I am going to try and slot it up the side a little bigger than the one pictured.
Anyone know what size the red o-ring under the tank is? The draw got a tad tight on a new carto, I pulled the tank out to see what was up and notice the o-ring was popped up on one side. I took it out, washed it in cool water, reinserted, and nicked it in the process. I do have the spare that came with the BB but would like a sack of them for the future.
The original Raven is still working, no more dry hits but I am giving it an occasional dry pull just in case. Just refilled the tank again
Yep mine looks like it is warped almost where one side sits up. I have done everything I know to do to keep it flat. Been like this since day one
. Makes taking the tank in and out a pain sometimes. I have not changed it out yet for that exact reason....not sure where to get them. I have asked a few times about buying more o rings but have not gotten a response yet. I know Doug is busy but maybe he will see this. I think I might send him an email

You don't want to over tighten the brass ring because it jams the bottom of the carto into the red o-ring. It can also cause leaking. You just need to get it snug.
I'm positive that's what I did, over tightened the ring. It squished the o-ring, deformed it, caused me to "fix" it, and now it's broke. Oh, the squishing the red o-ring also seems to cause a tight draw. So there are multiple reasons to follow the easy to follow instructions that I didn't follow.
