I still definitely notice a slight hint of rubber when the tank gets to the bottom as if when you suck then you're sucking air from the tank that has had a build up of the nitrile fumes from the ball...- the missus (the prime user) says she never notices it - but that could just be gradual de-sensitisation.
I've managed to find a company that will make custom sized silicone balls and I've contacted them for a quote - they're based in the US - I'll let ya know what they say
I do think silicone would be the best way forward as it's defacto for use in medical and high temperature applications
aside from that that is my one and only gripe - that I'm sure can be sorted out. This little box has even been surpassing some of my more expensive mods and atties in performance and just sheer
practicality.
For carto users and the eventual rebuildable atomiser that will fit in this puppy I really think that DD has invented a modern classic
I now need to try and bag one for my brother and then finally one for myself!
