Ah, that is neat. Might be a fun project to build one as I have not built an electronics project in a while. So I am guessing the purpose is to get all the higher resistance wire into the coil area and the low (I guess what they are calling non resistance wire) for the legs. Nice idea, will have to look into this more. Does anyone offer a kit already as I love to solder up kits....just fun?

For you my friend. Note that a Diver need to be set with NR/R/NR to perform as it's best.

Check this video out. Shows how to make a joiner from disposable cameras. Went to my nearest CVS and they gave me 10 or so for free. Get the Fujis as they have higher discharge capacitors. Put it all in a nice cigar box from the local smoke shop and vela. I'll get a pic up soon.

Tin Your Tip

So on another note I, like I'm sure many others, am looking for a Billet Box. Got some nice goodies I could trade so if you have an extra BB you want to relinquish PLEASE PM me!

Thanks! So if I get lazy or impatient, where do you buy them premade.
I could never find them in stock so I ain't much help that way. Really pretty easy though. Hardest part is learning to use it (ie: how long to hold the charge button for the gauge of wire you're using and having the steady hand to touch the two ends of wire together so they look nice and pretty and factory made).

Thanks for all the information. Sent an email to the guy about the Tsaf. Really liked the LED variable voltage DYI model on the forums too, but only saw plans for spark-o-matic. I am on vacation for a bit, so need to research a little. I have a ton of electronics stashed away, as you always buy double what you need for a project it seems. Just need to settle in on a design to see what I have. I have a Jacobs ladder around here somewhere that I bet would weld that wire already. Too bad it is such fine gauge, I have a TIG welding setup out in my shop, but that would be a tad overkill for 32 gauge wire....hehe. Probably try the disposable camera deal for a quickie.

Still loving my Billet Box ... this thing is amazing. Just a bit about me, I was a very heavy smoker as was my whole family. My Dad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and the pressure was on to give up smoking. I looked into vaping and got myself started, I gave up the fags for months. But then after a stressful week and a big night out I slipped up and was both smoking and vaping for a while. (yes I do have an addictive personality!) I admired the Billet Box from afar and promised myself if I could get my hands on one I would really try my hardest never to smoke again. The Gods must have been looking down on me as I was lucky enough to purchase one, and now am holding myself to my promise. I like the fact that in the morning I can turn it right down for a gentle vape, then gradually throughout the day turn it up. In fact I like everything about the billet box and am going to order some more tanks so I can start swapping flavours. Thanks again Doug Dino for this amazing mod.:toast:

It is an amazing device, I was also so lucky to get my hands on one quick.

I am trying very hard to be politically correct, but just cannot get used to you UK guys slang terms. Man how different that would be if I stated giving up the fags for months here in the US. Apologies in advance, but I blame sleep deprivation for my insensitivity on the subject. Just couldn't stop myself. :)

Anyone have any tips for getting the rubber ball to stop leaking. Finally got my diver to stop leaking, and now my tank won't stop leaking.

When you fill it with the plastic needle turn the ball a little bit. This usually will make it seal. Worked for me.

To get the ball to seat, I just use the syringe with no tip. Press it in as couple times and let go, wipe off. Done

As far as the diver, this Atty really prefers to be filled upside down.. This way you do not create a siphon effect. Its a little messy but can be done with only losing a drop our two of juice... Everything else on the diver is up to how you set it up...

Don't not fill past the hole... Only let air escape from the hole while filling.

Just got my Diver in today and ground off the flange. But it still does not fit into BB. It is a mm or two longer than a standard cart. So do I also need to remove a little off the top too?

Well, I am going to answer myself and say yes, I used a dremel and against my better judgment grinded on the side of a disc to reduce the length of the Diver tube. Fits easy and perfect now with pin (which I had forget to insert earlier).

I gotta say WOW! First off this is my first RBA period. So it was totally a new experience for me. I followed all the videos I could find and like the long wick using paper clip method. Worked awesome the very first time. Looks like a smoke stack coming out of my computer room...hehe. I did cheat and use a pre-made coil, but hey, small steps taken first. Looks like a whole new area to explore now. Already have all sorts of wires and wicks to play with.

Now, anyone with the wire welding we discussed yesterday, have you seen this thread? This thing looks killer!

I rolled the ball around again, and it stopped.

you got your diver to stop leaking? please share

Well, the first base that I had was bad. None of my pins and cups would seat all the way due to the delrin piece in the base being to short. He sent me another, and that problem was solved.

Make sure the pin, and cup are a tight fit. Don't push to much wire up inside the pin, and make sure the pin and cup are fully seated on the delrin, and that they are straight.

Make sure your wick is not pushed down to far into the cup, and keep it from touching the air inlet at the bottom of the cup. Ensure the wick ends aren't to long. They should not touch the threads on the base when putting the barrel/tube on. The wick ends should run perpendicular to the juice intake hole.

Do not use the fill hole in the tank. Put the diver in from the bottom, and leave enough room to fill through the top, and then push the diver the rest of the way up and out the top. I also put the hole facing the back side of the tank this time. I don't know if it matters though.

I am by no means an expert. This is the first time I have gotten it right. I was so ...... earlier today, I was about to throw it in the trash, so others here can probably give better advice. If you can get it working, it really is an awesome atty. Vapor and flavor are very impressive.
