Vapian, how do you get the wire to stay coiled perfectly on the black wire thingy. I have to keep it in a zip lock bag cause it uncoils itself.

I drilled 4 very small holes on the side (12 o'clock, 3, 6, 9 o'clock ) and then usually cut the wire 1/2 way between the hole and put it through the hole to hold 'em. I use the same drill and pin vise (1.5mm drill) that I use to make my micro coils.

Hi folks!

I got my Billet Box last week, and I have a few questions:

* What's the deal with LR cartos? The instruction manual says to use 2.8ohm to 3.0ohm cartos. I have a bunch of LR that I'd like to use...

* What's the best way to change a carto out when there's still juice in the tank? When I wanted to change cartos in my ibtanked tank, I would put on one of the Super T velocity tips on the new carto, put the top of the tip into the top of the old carto and push. I could pop the old carto out with the new carto, and since there's no top or bottom to the ibtanked tank, I was done. This is a much more involved process with the billet box tank, since it does have a top and bottom, so I'm just wondering if any of you have any tips or tricks in this area.

Thanks!

I don't know about the LR cartos, maybe someone else knows, but I had some Boge's that were a bit low at 2.4 ohms that didn't taste very good t the lowest voltage setting.

On changing out the tank, I just hold the tank sideways so most of the juice settles to the bottom of the larger volume side. Then push out the old carto from the contact end with the new carto.

I think drunk_j's idea is very good.

You can also consider Vapourart's cartodriver for any tanks including Billet Box.

I have replaced many cartos in our full tanks using the following method.

1. Fluff the filler in the punched holes of the new carto with the tip of a needle.
2. Fill the new carto.
3. Push the old carto up until the bottom of the carto is flush with the outside bottom of the tank.
4. Push the new carto (I always make sure the outside of the new carto is covered with a little juice to ease the push) up through the tank.
5. The old carto will be pushed through the top of the tank and the new one is now in place.
6. No loss of juice!!!!

And how many times can I use the word 'push'! LOL

These are cool. I have sort of used the version (like a slap ya mamma style), but I like how this one seals the entire tanks. Only thing that would make this better, if it had like a detachable large button cap on the pusher end. Even with lubed O-rings, for some reason after being in a tank for a while, they are hard as crap to start moving initially and that kills the palm of my hand or whatever digit/appendage I happen to use.

At 5€ each, it is the best they can be and do their job well :2c:
to avoid to hurt yourself, use a table corner or a chair
The rest is sex of angels long talk.
it is sold by http://www.atmistique.gr/en/do-it-yourself?page=shop.browse&category_id=54
they sell the diver rebuildable coil, and they do flangless 35mm when you specify it is for BB
beware coil resistance to match BB requirement
mine was 2.2 ohms original but I am not successful yet to fix the :glug::glug::glug:
More to come when I can fix it, for now battling with cartos and that %&#§ù=/ button that keep firing
Yes I am in the 1% camp like the 108% French with Visa issue + PCB button to be changed, postman is afraid of me now when I ask every AM about this US letter

Sure, sure at that price, I wouldn't expect more. But would pay more for my request. But it is a simple fix with a small Teflon disc (which I have already)or any hard plastic, a drill press and a sander to smooth the disc edges. So I will make one. Now where to find these doohickeys on this side of the pond so I don't have to wait a month. Anyone??

I am currently using the Diver with original prebuilt coil at 2.2 ohms (no problem at lower voltages). I would like to build higher resistance coils too. So we will see. Hopefully I am on the list to get a PK3 v2 wire welder soon too to aid in coil making (though this will probably just lower resistance...haha..oh well, love gadgets anyway). :)

Holy crap.....almost $34 bucks for two of these...jeez. Guess I am waiting on someone stateside before paying that much for two plastic sticks. I don't get the over $20 shipping. I get small items from other countries all the time for a couple of bucks and send things for the same.

Hey Doug, how about mill us some delrin carto pushing sticks....hehe...you can make a mint on them!!

I just use one of those cheap SS tank filler drip tips, works as advertised lol.

Like the slap yo mama tool I mentioned a couple posts back or the one like a funnel? Unless you have a different one, those really don't seal much and at that only one end. They are fine for starting the carto, but the driver is cool as it goes all the way through both holes. But hey, that is your tool to play with how you want to!
