I know most of the these are no brainers, but just a troubleshooting checklist:

*Battery polarity
*Tried different batteries
*Clean brass/aluminum threading with cloth that leaves no residue
*Recheck tightness of brass ring
*Tried different carto
*Volt meter check from contact to case while firing
*Are you using cartos or building your own....and are you using protected batteries (black - not the AW or eFest reds).

Pretty complete list. Only things I can think of to add:

* Clean positive pin under cartomizer (can get gunked and not conduct)
* Try a different set of batteries, or pairing each battery with a different mate (believe it or not, I've had some that just didn't seem to "like each other")
* If you punched/slotted your own carto, try doing up another (I've slotted and cut through the coil connection to the carto tube before)

OK, think I have made the best coil ever (my opinion only of course). Anyway, I have given away all my 4-40 machine bolts I had on hand...DUH, so I switched to a 5-40 I had. Decided it was time to run the BB up a little in power, so I changed the resistance also. So anyway, 8 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal on the 5-40 bolt, flamed, squeezed, torched and drop in water (I know unnecessary but cool). Inserted into a Condor homemade RBA vertically, two small strands of hemp pulled from the hemp ball tucked around the outside of coil. OMG, couldn't see my wife sitting across the table from me. Reminded me of my concert going days in the 80s. Oh, forgot to mention that final resistance value was 1.9 ohms (so just ever so slightly above the magical maximum power number of 1.8 ohms).

edit: Doing some serious chain vaping and no dry hits. Up to 5 volts now. Guess these batteries are not going to last very long.:vapor:

Unrelated, but I wanted to give a report on the Delrin tank that I initially purchased as a backup.

I LIKE IT! I wasn't sure how visible the v-liquid/juice levels would be (my eyes ain't so great), but it's easily determined and I'm VERY pleased that I got it. I do believe I'll get another, once the opportunity arises.

Thanks, DD! As always, marvelously done.

Thanks for all the help. It works now. I just need my Diver. :'(

I had an accident with my bullet. I dropped it. Now the doors stuck. I'm about to cry.

There's GOT to be some way to get it open. I know it's different, but did you see all the recommendations made when mine was stuck? The bottle opener/sheet thingie worked for me. I'd try EVERYTHING, including seeing if DD can help.

Here's what is posted earlier regarding un-sticking your BB...

It happened to me...I had to gently and carefully open it with a chisel-shaped Xacto blade. Very carefully insert the blade at the corner, and gently twist the blade. Repeat at the other corner.

Remember, this is aluminum, and it's a soft metal, so go slow. Once the top edge is open a bit, you should be able to put the edge of the blade at a 45 deg angle, an push on the top edge

You may have to push one side, then the other. When it's open enough for you to use your fingers, stop using the blade and wiggle it on out. I found that the grooves on the box and lid were black with aluminum oxide. Clean out the grooves and the lid really well. I used isopropyl alcohol, paper towels, and a plastic knife. Keep cleaning until the towel is clean. Clean the ball in the same way, pressing and turning until the towel is clean. I used a tiny bit of olive oil on the grooves and ball applied with a q tip.

You can best believe I keep those grooves clean now!
