Hmmmmmm ... Wonder if there are others? Mr. DD ... YooooHooo ... When ya get a chance my Dear! :D ;-)

I do wonder what the price would/will be of the colored ones? How about a black and white one with nice firing button? Then, offer a brass and acrylic tip (black and white of course) to go with it? With my ECF username engraved on it somewhere?

I can dream, right? Perhaps an all black, with a white brass/acrylic tip - another great choice~!

BBDripTips for the win~!!

Thank you so much! Did I read somewhere that you were near Charlottesville? I lived in C-ville for 24 years - raised my daughter there. We both miss it like crazy - especially the food. Le sigh :/

Edit: sorry I meant to reply to 2423Kids up there

I'll figure this out...heh

Yep Sin ... I'm 25 miles North of Charlottesviile ... Madison County born & raised "farm girl" ... Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains! ;-) Still have a place in FL (which I don't get to much anymore) and where my "kids" and Grand"kids" live. Back here in good ol'VA helping my folks who are both 85 and in declining health. LOTS of mowing here on the farm ... You'll hear me complaining LOTS in the coming months (right Kat - LOL! How I HATE mowing!!!!). I worked/lived in C'ville for years ... Worked at Keller & George (before they bricked in downtown) then UVA, and then GE which turned into GE/Fanuc. Eventually owned a little antique shop in the blink your eyes you'll miss it town of Madison. Moved to FL for about 12 years ... Now back on the farm. 2423, ####'s, kids, life story in a nutshell. Nice to meet ya! :D MUCH fun here in BBville with the nicest mod Master Mr. DD and BB loving peeps in all of ECF!

I envy you all who are just about to put your mitts on a BB for the first time. When you take it out of the package, admire the exterior craftsmanship, slide the door down, then go slackjawed at the marvel before you. And then realize all of this is the size of a deck of cards. It was bliss. I remember the day well. Haha.

I can't wait till I can do just that. It will be October before I can though. The BB will be a gift to myself for paying off the rig. Going to try and grab the DDD for the BB while I wait.

Congrats Strike, u done good. I know u own high end gear but the BB is in a league of its own. The craftsmanship is, well, in a league of its own. That was and is my feeling, the sliding door and the engravings r amazing. The channel the ball bearing slides in, I mean it's awesome. Heck even the delrin tanks r so precise. It's truely a piece of art.

Look forward to ur findings with the Sophia. I am going to mod my diver v1, I've had wicking issues with my V2 and am still working out the kinks.

Thanks Florida, I'm excited to be a proud owner. I needed a mod like this in my collection that will be able to handle abuse. Not that I plan to abuse it but at least I'll know it will be able to handle it.

I've been reading and hearing mixed feelings with the BB and Diver V2 I'm hoping to not run into these issues with both the Sophia and Diver. I'll definitely post my experiences with both.

I've driven many times through Madison and Greene. After I graduated from UVA, I worked for Albemarle County for many, many years as a Planner so I worked with a lot of people in the Real Estate business.

I only had a small lot in C-ville so not too much mowing but even so, I quickly smartened up and hired a guy to do it for like $30 a month. Well worth it especially in those summer months - yikes.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yet another thing I miss about the south.

I didn't think the Sophia could be used with the Billet Box because of the juice control. Has a newer version been made?

A couple of months ago, or so, they released a short body for the Sophia that will make it a standard carto size. It has yet to be determined if there is enough room to open up the juice control for the Sophia to wick properly. I will find out and post my findings hopefully by tomorrow night.

Ahhhhhh ... Yes I can relate to the $30/month for lawn care! It was what I paid in FL to have my lawn mowed and trimmed every week! Ahhhhhhh ... THOSE were the days! Haha! Lets see ... I'll tell ya how my Dad told my Mom years ago when I was trying to explain to her how big my lot was at the beach in FL! He finally said to her ... Look out the window ... See our garden? You could put her lot in it FOUR times!!! LOL! Soooooooooo ... Yeah ... There's a total of 152 acres here! I mow a little over 6 acres! The cost to mow the "lawn" here ... 10 times the normal fee of $30/month for a "lot"! ;-) Hence ... I ride ... About 6 hours! U G H !!!!!!!!! Needlesstosay ... I have a very small CONDO in FL (lawn maintenance included)!!!! Hahaha! :D

I think there's enough room for it to fit. However, you'll be hard pressed to adjust it after installing in the BB body. It'll have to be a set and forget pretty much. The brass ring won't grip the Sophia tube strongly enough to use that as an adjuster. The o-ring on the brass ring is looser than a standard drip tip o-ring, by design.

Yes agree, this is what I figured too but once I set the Juice control its usually a set it and forget kind of deal for me anyway so if it opens up enough to wick then I'll be a happy camper. I'm also thinking that the Brass Ring may not be fully flush either if the desired flow is set. But we'll see.

The nice thing about the Sophia is that you can just close the JC and refill to capacity without worrying about leakage. The downside is that you always have to take the tank out to refill. But I figured most usually take the tank out anyway with the Diver also and with 6.5 ml of juice you don't have to refill as much as a standard tank system.

If you can get the Sophia to wick ok with just having the juice control only open 1mm possibly a few hairs more and don't mind having the brass screw sticking out you may have a chance. The other alternative is to figure how open you need the juice control and shave some of the Sophia's short upper body down to accommodate.

From my measurements if the Sophia from top to bottom is more than say 40.60mm ~ maybe a hair more it will not fit into the BB.

Someone on here actually drilled out the brass ring to fit the Sophia. Can't remember who it was but the tube was still touching it somehow to make the connection. I think they had a spare brass ring and drilled one or used the older version brass ring. Can't remember what I wore yesterday much less anything slightly more detailed.....LOL

Awesome, thanks for the measurement. To wick properly I'm hoping it will be around the 38mm range.
