Question for you Billet Box owners: We were discussing the merits of rebuildable cartos like the Diver/Sophia/Killer in another thread. Those are the only ones (besides regular carts) that you can use in the Billet Box, correct?

How does the flavor and vapor production of those cart systems compare to the "newer" generation of rta's like the kayfun 3.1 (and KFL/KFL+), Russian 91%, Aqua, Taifun GT, etc.?

I'll rate it for you like this:

Kayfun (style) > SABOT > Diver V1/2>>> Cartomizer. I've not bothered with putting my Killer in a BB tank, and I don't have a Sophia, but I'd assume it's close to a Diver.

You'll get more density of vapor in a Kayfun style atty, mainly because you can run it at much higher power. But even like for like power, the Kayfun is still a better vape. That said, the BB is no slouch.

Agree to the last part of what finagle69 said then I'll say, depends if you want to rebuild or use a stock coil. I'm using the Sabot in the BB and Russian91% on magneto atm and for me it's a toss up. The russian may be a more dense vape but with the sabot I'm getting better flavor. At present both are brand new builds or head (aro) and both are great vapes.

Thanks to both of you. I'm asking these questions because I'm going to use my first carto-tank system - and I thought who better to ask about carto tanks than you Billet Box users.

I'm doing research on the Sabot-DDD right now, but I don't think it'll work on a regular 510 mod...

Correct the Sabot is made only for use in the BB just like the Billet Bridge is only for use in BB. Oh and if ya like carto's they're great in the BB.

I forgot to mention that I also use the DiverV2 in the BB with good success too and I'm able to use it in other tanks. Though it is a bit temperamental but once you know what build works best for you it's great.

Yeah, I've always hated cartos - back from when I first tried them 3-4 years ago (it was the only thing to use back then! - those, and those little tiny CE5? 510 size tanks).

I was seriously considering the BB, but it only taking carts is what made me go with a regular tube-style mechanical mod (for now) so I could use the Kayfun's I love. ...now it seems like I'm about to try rebuildable carts, and if I like them, who knows, you may find me as a new-BB owner ;)

Ugg, made it to slc at 6:40, didn't know the place opened shop at 8 not 7... luckily they showed up early for a machine demo... got my part and back to shop, take ruby apart to find very bad things... she'll run for a while but looks like her spindle pulley is shot... which is unfortunately permanently attached to the spindle... which unfortunately is 4k bucks... FORTUNATELY i was wrong, her warranty expires on the 8th.... HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAA...........

Are you using a stock head on the Sabot? If not exactly what did you do to it? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

Hello Everyone :)

Story Time
I tried and tried and always failed to get a BB. Never could seem to be able to be online or just wasn’t fast enough on the order to get one.
I even set up an account and everything so I would be ready to buy. (Last Year)
So I turned to EBay, and I still had no luck. So this last weekend I was on EBay and one was there, and I Bid $300 and I didn’t get it :(
But as I was trying to make my mind up to go $350, It didn’t seem right in the picture.
The Aluminum seemed bright to me. Like it was sanded. And the seller had no pics of the back of it.

So I pulled up the BB website to compare pics and BAM

The ADD TO CART was there and WOOHOOO I GOT ONE

It should be at my house on Wednesday same with the batteries and I ordered a BilletBridge too :D
The Bridge is coming DHL an says 3 to 4 days so that should come by the end of the week too.
Then I will have it mailed overnight to me because I am back on the road working.

So if all goes well I should have it by this weekend, Monday at the latest, :mail:

I am so excited.

So, I've been using the Billet Bridge for some time now, and am finding it overall much nicer than cartos. But I must point out that the Billet Box itself is so wonderful, that I'd happily go back to cartos if need be just to keep using the Billet Box~!

Anyhow, I am now on head number 4. I do not build, or rebuild heads (coils), so am using stock heads. What I have found is the following:
The first 6-10ml on the new head is heaven.
Then the next 15-25ml on the head is decent.
After that I am getting a slightly burnt taste regardless of the voltage set.

Unlike cartos, the draw does not get harder (which to me is a win). I do not get any juice/condensation/whatever in my mouth like I do with older cartos. And, while the cost per head is higher than the cost per carto, I am not swapping them out as often.

I believe the hassle of the Billet Bridge being in multiple parts is off-set by the fact that I need not 'prime' it like a new carto - making the overall cleanup/change far easier than with a carto.

While not a 'cloud-chaser', I do notice that the Billet Bridge does put out more clouds than a carto in my book.

Of course, I am signed up for the Sabot-DDD and am curious to see how it stacks up compared to the Billet Bridge.

As a side note:

Now that I have had and lived with my Billet Box for some time now, I have found it to be my *only* mod I use. My ProVari (which is great) is simply a backup device now. I have traveled with the Billet Box carrying nothing but a couple extra cartos, juice, and batteries. I honestly see no reason to carry a backup device with me. A very far cry from when I first started vaping, and felt the need to carry multiple backups when just going away from the house for a few hours. Now, if going somewhere for a few hours, all I do is check to see if I should add juice, and swap out for fresh batteries - I take nothing else with me :)

Speaking strictly as a person vaping instead of smoking, the Billet Box honestly has made vaping on the go as painless as possible.
