No rush a tall, wize one. I'm leaving to take the boy for his re-check and might be a bit busy after that. If you don't hear from me.... how's tomorrow sound?

Sounds Good!

For all those talking about the diver, I have 2 and just love them. I am using one in a phiniac skinny mini tank, and I swap one out with my sabbbots. I have never had a leaking issue with the diver or sabbot. I use to tend to over stuff the cotton and have to take some out but after a few practicing moments.... I finally got it to the point that I can build them blind folded. (not really but that sounded good) :)

When you got yours, did you get the V1 or the V2 positive post pin? I seem to remember, it being recommended to get the V1.

Thanks

I have the Diver V2 with the v1 pin and one has the v2 pin. I have to say that I have not really noticed any difference in the pins.
I think it's all in the proper wicking that makes them work best. Not enough (rayon) = leaking, To much = burnt. I prefer hemp as my wick but cotton or rayon is good too.

Sounds easy enough, if I could stop my self from buying all this other stuff, maybe I could afford to get one. I started the day thinking I would spend about $80.00, and ended up spending about $280.00.

I learned that one problem being left-handed is when you get your left shoulder repaired...

Unlike the boyzers with boyzers comments, Peter underscore, I offer you a heartfelt "awwwwwwwwwww". And thoughts of a speedy lefty recovery.

I think I originally got that link from somewhere in this thread, possibly from this kata guy, I remember him being a fan of the thing, he had some kind of a brown bird or ape or something as his avatar, that is all I can remember.

KAS

I do also recall he had predilections for the animalistic. (tip o' the cap, Kata namesake bud)

Jeez, you're getting senile. The diver talk was just in the atmistique general thread. The only thread about them i ever started was in our billet box group page. But the grvoup posting thing limited the size of posts and didn't seem to go over well. Plus it didn't notify us on new posts for some reason.

The diver v2 non flanged is a well made rba that fits the bb without modding. You do have to hit within a range on the cotton fill for it to feed correctly. Never had a flooding issue provided everything is in proper working order and built correct. My biggest issue is what a pain getting the coil leads in those tiny cup holes with my eyes. Also hated prebuilt coils as all the ones i found were 34 gauge and didn't stand up to a lot of messing around such as rewicking. So i bought a zapper. Anyway, pm me if i can help. I am positive Kataphraktos would also be more than willing to help if you pmed him too. He is more a fan of them than me.

And the Drunk One is in the house....... finally! What took you so long?

The difference in the two pins is the air flow grooves at the bottom where they make contact. A lot of folks preferred the larger airflow from the v1 pin since it was cross grooved. I prefer the v2 pin because it is ss and it is simple to cut deeper grooves with a thin micro file if it isn't enough air flow. So my opinion is go with v2 pin.

I thought it had to do with preventing leakage, Hmm okay thanks I am not too particular, about the air flow.

There are a bunch of happy people that posted about them in this thread, but some reported wicking and leaking problems, the leak is supposed to be fixed with the V1 pin, the wicking is more complicated, that is why I went with the sophia, but I would still like to try it.

KAS
Just got my tmnbb today but haven't set up my Sophia and bb kit yet. I'll Def report back with a comparison between the 2

This is true, but now I will have very little cash for food, I am already just eating every edible thing left in the house, the only thing left in my freezer is burger patties and nicotine.:glare:
